All in all, "Logical chess" is like Star Wars, episode 4, A New Hope. You have to make some allowances for its age. It doesn't have the whizzy graphics for the 3D touch screen high definition generation. But it's still a fabulous classic and you can't imagine a world in which it doesn't exist. I'm not sure why I read this book, but I bought it a few years ago for some reason (probably mentioned by some Youtuber) and so I finally finished reading it. Took a long time. Primarily because I have to play it out on an actual board (even though every couple of moves or so, Chernev includes a diagram), so there was decently high activation energy to read it.
