As time goes by, the leather fades oud, violet, and pepper take the center stage. At this point, the scent is warm, sweet, spicy, and woody, with a welcome floral twist from violet. While I understand the pepper is there to provide counterbalance to the sweetness, I am not a big fan of pepper and I wish they tone down it a little bit, because as it is, it disturbs the gentle and relaxed vibe of the fragrance. The pepper subsides eventually and what's left is residual warm sweetness, which you can still very easily smell over 12h after application. Uniqueness: 9.0 (due to its tangled blend, it is quite unique; the saffron-leather accord is a bit weak in my opinion. It does not justify the comparison made by several reviewers between "Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum | Mercedes-Benz" and perfumes like "Tuscan Leather (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford", "La Yuqawam pour Homme | Rasasi" and "Godolphin | Parfums de Marly". It is not as leathery pleasant as these three fragrances). SIGN impresses its power, intensity, and sillage. The top notes reveal the escence of cardamom, which blends with pink peppercorn SFE to bring freshness, and to contrast with a more vanilla base. The base notes also feature tonka bean and white musk, which playout a warm and sensual score before mingling with cashmere and woody patchouli SFE. Then come bitter grapefruit, crisp apple, and a floral bouquet comprised of aromatic lavender, orange blossom, rose geranium, and—now rare in perfumery—violet leaf absolute, creating a sophisticated balance that master perfumer Olivier Cresp has refined with zeal.

It's a very pleasant oriental woody composition that is like a combination of some of this house's earlier work. I get some resemblance with the base of Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum and also find it contains some similarity to the sweetness of Mercedes Benz Club's Addictive Oriental and the spicyness of Infinite Spicy (the 1st and last also by perfumer Olivier Cresp). It also gets points for at least being a good performer in the longevity and projection stakes. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this sits on my skin. It's much nicer than the original Mercedes Benz Club which I found to be too screechy, sharp and a bit plastic. I wouldn't necessarily call this a safe blind buy, as it's not a mass appealing scent. However, if you like Mugler-type scents, specifically Pure Malt and A Men, or you like sweet/boozy type scents, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed. I say the hype is deserved. I'd say MB le parfum is excellent, but I'd be careful to hide the bottle. I wouldn't want anyone to know I use a cologne favored by the under-classes. Versatility: 8.0 (surprisingly, it's quite versatile, unfolding better in spring and autumn but remaining pleasant on winter days and summer nights).

Refined and elegant, the fragrance starts off with a fizzy blend of Italian bergamot, pink pepper and cascalone. As the fragrance evolves, the heart notes reveal a refined elegance. Aromatic leather and warm tobacco notes intertwine, creating a genuinely luxurious accord that speaks to the sophistication of the Mercedes Benz brand. The combination of these ingredients evokes memories of leather-clad steering wheels and the distinct allure of a high-end automobile interior. I really enjoy the original Mercedes Benz fragrance, as it smells like Dior 'Aqua Fahrenheit' or a fresh version of 'Fahrenheit', and has good performance. When I saw 'Le Parfum', I immediately grabbed it and from the initial spray I can tell you its about 95-97% Dior 'Fahrenheit', but much stronger, and a little less of the gasoline or motor oil note that 'Fahrenheit' is known for. It's still there, but just slightly toned down. A fragrance defined by elegance, power, and sophistication. Inspired by the iconic luxury brand, Mercedes Benz Intense is captivating scent captures the spirit of the modern man who embraces his individuality and exudes timeless class.My biggest curiosity was about the engine, or the juice if you like. With Polge as the engineer, it looked quite promising, probably with plenty of horsepower and making us enjoy a pleasant and comfortable drive.

At first sight, I had no problems with the finishing and the bodywork. Le Parfum is presented in a very nice leathery case and the bottle is solid and nice to look at, with a good cap and atomiser. The new bottle for SIGN is both highly masculine and intuitive to use. With its spray cap, deep midnight blue color, and mix of textures, it is simply compelling. It adds a uniqueness to the act of putting on a fragrance. And the choice to proudly display the three-pointed star—the distinctive Mercedes-Benz signature—evokes its vocation as a unifying symbol. This ultra-visible star becomes the emblem of a highly exclusive club for whom success is a signature. OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, office, business, casual, holidays, clubbing. This is an office-friendly fragrance. I used it for a few days, not letting anyone know I was wearing the three-pointed star "Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum".

Preliminary thoughts with first wearing: VERY nice. A much sweeter, smokier, and much more likeable Mercedes Benz Club, which I had and sold before. That sure is a wild "smells like" list, isn't it? Tuscan/Ombre Leather, Fahrenheit, Dior Homme- it's like a who's who of the top-rated men's fragrances of all time. How can you not be interested to see exactly what the hell is in this bottle if it's as cheap as it is after seeing that? After sampling it, I can say this for certain: while Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum is by no means a clone of any of the fragrances on that list, it draws influence from almost all of them to create one of the best and most worthwhile scents I have smelled in a long, long time. The base accords are quite predictable, with some amber and vetiver in a woody / oudy frame that lasts until dry down. It is unsurprising but pleasant and almost seductive. I like this dry-down "finishing" even if it is not unique. Quality: 8.5 (The fragrance ingredients quality is above average despite the opening synthetic note remarked. It bears a quality presentation, with a sturdy glass bottle, a heavy cap, a good sprayer, as well as an unusual well-crafted fake leather case). The dynamic, deeper and more intense composition of CLUB EXTREME is characteristic for a blend of woody-oriental aromas embellished with masculine leather notes. The composition opens with bergamot, mandarin and lotus flower, illuminating delicately the warm and intense flavors of amber, leather and sandalwood in the base. The base contributes to intensity and depth, thanks to patchouli, dry wood and musk.

Longevity: On skin 10 (16+ hours), 9 (12-16 hours), 8 (10-12 hours), 7 (8-10 hours), 6 (6-8 hours), 5 (3-6 hours) Don't you just love when your expectations of a scent prove to be low compared to the actual experience which is better than ever imagined. That is what happened with Le Parfum and this fragrance hits it out of the ballpark on many fronts. Namely, composition which is far better than the Gucci Homme, Eros, 212 comparisons and in fact is touching on niche quality. Then there is price, when we see such quality at this price point, one understands why it is considered an absolute steal. Performance is good and silage is discreet enough to avoid any moments of nausea for the wearer or others in close vicinity, as happens with some sweeter evening scents. So, what makes MB le Parfum an addition to my list of favorites?. Simply put, they cleverly introduced a wonderful leather type accord in the drydown, so good in fact it might even count as my favorite drydown of all the scents I own at present.Usability: 7.0 (it's not a fragrance you can use almost anywhere; there is some transactional conflict between the fresh opening and the woody base; as a result, this fragrance is neither fresh nor typically leathery oudy or woody). Finally, the base notes add a touch of seductive allure and deep sensuality. The incense and ambergris accord create an intoxicating blend that lingers on the skin, leaving an impression as unforgettable as the journey of a lifetime. The unique fusion of these base notes further emphasizes the captivating charm and charisma that defines the Mercedes Benz Intense. Price: 6.5 (€ 60 for 120 ml? The juice is not worth it. You are paying for the leathery case and the Mercedes name as well. I bought my flask on sale for €45).
