So far, no one has found them, even with a search of the PDF. Other ancestries are limited, but not human. It means that each GM is free to judge where the line should be, but the game and setting should still be recognizably Pathfinder and Golarion. The Pathfinder Beginner Box is Paizo’s newest starter set, released late last year. As such, it’s fully upgraded and compatible with the game’s second edition ruleset. You’ll find a nearly identical treatment in the Starfinder Beginner Box, but with a ruleset tailored to Paizo’s science fiction setting. To begin with, the two rule books are of a good, but not daunting length for readers. The main adventure could be argued to be a little on the short side for more seasoned Pathfinder familiars, but the presentation is both attractive and intuitive with more than enough to get those gaming juices flowing new visitors. The adventure is well-written and provides plenty of opportunities for combat, exploration, and roleplaying. It also includes helpful tips and guidance for the game master, making it easy for even a new GM to run the adventure smoothly.I asked about using the Beginner Box as a basis, and your reply was "it's up to each GM", but now you're saying they have to be Beginner Box characters? I suggest making some adjustments to the room, and offer some unsolicited advice to the party. If anyone in the party is proficient in Thievery, explicitly tell them that they think they could disable the mechanisms. Also give the players descriptive clues that the smashed mechanism in the bottom-left corner has resulted in the statue affecting that part of the room less. If the d10 roll for the statue’s action doesn’t result in one of the options which is affected by broken mechanisms, it may take the party several round to notice the effects of disabling/breaking the mechanisms. I also recommend reducing the damage from 2d6 to 2d4, reducing the hardness of the mechanisms to 6, and reducing the Theivery DC from 20 to 18. Are you talking about THIS STARTER SET. Because I had that starter set and wound up giving it away. Value and content wise it was kinda thin compared to both the PF and PF2 Beginners boxes. The D&D starter set felt like they just threw it together as a loss leader and relied on the brand name to sell it. The PF beginners boxes looked like they took their time to create and experience for beginners, people who have never played the game before. Admittedly I'm not really the target audience for these boxes but I tend to buy them anyway because I'm always looking for ways to introduce new people to the hobby. Bag of Bases. Plastic bases designed to hold up the cardboard pawns for monsters and players. You don’t stringly need to use these, but it’s fun to see the adventurer’s pawns standing on the map.
