Wulfsburg comes with several unique magic equipment. These items are so powerful that survivors are only able to wield them once they reach a specific danger level.

Before the beginning of the game, a mission is chosen. The playing area is built with board tiles and features (icons representing cars, doors and objectives) according to the selected mission. Each players chooses one or more survivors to play and everyone places their survivors on the starting area of the board. In the game, each player controls from one (for 6 players) to four (solo game) "survivors", human beings in a zombie-infested town. In fact, "survivors" hastily change to "hunters" to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must keep the balance between survival and slaughter: as the zombicide's going on, the "danger level" is going up and infected are growing in numbers. [2] Gameplay [ edit ] The miniatures are of exactly the high standard that you’ve come to expect from Zombicide. I haven’t yet tried painting them, but there’s certainly a lot of detail there, so I imagine all those of you who enjoy that sort of thing will have an absolute blast. The zombie-werewolves (and, in particular, the Wolf-Bomination) are a truly great set of miniatures – and I think they could have a life outside the system, for various different settings. All these new features easily make Zombicide: Wulfsburg well worth the money. The new zombie types alone, and the 10 new scenarios are enough extra content to warrant purchasing the expansion. Fans of Zombicide will find much here to like.The extra weapons and items you receive in the box should also help to spice up your games. They are – again – all in keeping with the splatterpunk horror/fantasy vibe of the setting. The “Vampire Crossbow” is an especially fun weapon, healing the user each they dispatch one of the undead – very useful if you don’t have a cleric in the party. So much, so more of the same…right? The biggest change in the rulebook is the addition of altitude rules. This means that your characters can now run up nearby towers and buildings, and lets them shoot flaming arrows down onto the zombies/Deadites in the streets.
