Edit: I got it and i'm in love. This is also great for layering. I layered this with Dalaal Al Rehab on top and let me tell you.............. sorcery. Full on sorcery. So good, try it and thank me in your dreams. The fragrance reaches its sublime conclusion with base notes of Moss, Vanilla, and Patchouli, creating a harmonious blend of earthy and sweet undertones. Bade’e Al Oud Sublime is an olfactory journey that exudes sophistication and charm, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a luxurious and long-lasting scent. It’s a fragrance that leaves a lasting impression wherever you go. It smells moldy, dark and incense like, just imagine a really old grandmother and really old church combined. I consider both of them UNISEX but if you are really sensitive about this, i'd say Amethyst is really really slightly leaning more feminine then Oud for Glory but then again, ever so slightly. I think Amethyst would generally be more appreciated by a female nose then Oud for Glory yet i doubt a man would find Amethyst feminine. None of the two are girly-girl perfumes thats for sure.

I have given this title to the review even if, in reality, with Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst, it is more The Marriage of the Roses between the Turkish and the Bulgarian families. I am a big fan of roses, no matter if they are single or mixed with spices, leaves, mosses, woods or foods. All these combinations offer a different and unique interpretation of this flower. And while roses are the most prominent and dominant note, Amethyst is not a rose-centric scent. However, the two rose qualities go so well together. Amethyst is a lilac variety of quartz and is also the beautiful colour chosen for the bottle. I came here to say that this is without a doubt - and by some margin - the most offensive fragrance I have ever smelled. I absolutely hate it.I was surprised the performance didn't live up to my expectations when I first bought this, but now a couple months later it is improving. A little louder and lasting a little longer. Overall it performs well and reads like fall-time scent - or maybe even a summer-to-fall transition scent. The spices and woody base make it better suited for cooler weather, but I would wear this all year-round (probably not in really high heat though). At its heart, the fragrance takes center stage with the inclusion of Natural Oud Wood and Natural Agarwood Oil. Oud, often called “liquid gold,” is the star of this composition, exuding a deep, woody richness that is both powerful and elegant. Its presence is a testament to the allure of this precious ingredient. Contrary to others who might search for harsh chemical notes, my experience is one of serene calmness, a fragrance that is anything but chaotic. Some may draw parallels with Oud for Glory, but this creation carves its own niche. This fragrance offers a gentle embrace. The bottle is elegant and unassuming. That is one of the things I LOVE about "Lattafa - Hayaati" and "Lomani - Spirit Millionaire"...the drydown on those is that super strong creamy-woody CASHMERAN that lasts FOR-EVER on my skin!!

More masculine in the opening and gradually morphs a little feminine in the dry down. Very classy, beautiful, mysteriously sultry. The opening of Glory is not as heavy; it is more pleasant than Greatness. Half an hour in, and there is no difference I can tell between the two fragrances. Please read cowboylacroix's review below - he's done a fine job of breaking it down better than I could.This is a beast mode fragrance and is soooooo good, but I wouldn’t recommend for a blind buy. Smooth, sweet, deep and heavy. The vanilla and oud in this really intertwine so well with the rose, and the quality is great for the price. In the dry down, it does bear resemblance to AR, but the journey is not the same at all. It’s worth the trip for me to have both… I’m obsessed with this one. Now I'm sitting here in a HUGE cloud of Pineapple-creamy-moss and it's starting to give me a slight headache. Good lord I love this stuff. This is a gourmand for people who want some spice in their lives. Perfectly Unisex. The spices do not make it "masculine". Just like the sweetness does not make it "feminine"... NO. This is not a dupe of Hacivat or Ani (or anything else for that matter)... But I suppose it could be in similar genre as them? I still feel this leans even more gourmand with how pineapple-forward it is though.

Like all my Lattafas, I'll let this one rest as well for a few weeks and then will test it again in the fall on both of our skins. I'm hoping it will be less sweet and suffocating in cooler weather and the cinnamon will be less dominant.I get completely different notes than what's listed albeit similar to some folks further down below. But that doesn't matter, for me, at least, the smell is very similar, but, versus Asad, it's a bit more modest, although it has somewhere around half or two thirds of Asad's "body", being, at least from my point of view, the source of inspiration for Asad, it's a slightly more elegant smell, as if more passion was put into the composition, Oud for Glory is a bit more mature. And the sun is very hot overhead and there is a dewy smell coming from the ocean waves across the street.
