I've got both and I have to disagree with the replies above! In my opinion, unless you need the buggy to be suitable from birth then it's not worth paying the extra for the Techno. The seat has a deep four-position recline that goes to almost a flat position suitable for a newborn. The recline is operated by a one-hand lever system instead of the strap system that most umbrella strollers have.

My only criticism is about the wheels. They are quite small, which means you have to tilt it up to pavements and it can be a little harder to push after a big pram system . But I wanted smth small and you get what you ask for. I see that the wheels start to wear off after 3.5 years of usage. Which is not bad I suppose. Read more

It has two positions: up and down. A great feature for smaller babies. I like it when kids have plenty of stretch room and take a comfortable nap. I bought Maclaren Quest when my little one was 7 months old, as I didn't want to take a big Bugaboo cameleon on London transport. Being small, reclining to almost flat this fitted the bill. I used it now for more than 3 years . And I am happy with it. It is always in the boot of the car. It doesn't take much space, I keep it near the entry door at porch. And we travelled a lot with it. It is quite a comfy one for a child to seat as there are several recline positions. She slept really well in it, reclined flat. The raincover is good to keep the cold off too, due to its shape and how it is attached to the buggy. I folded and carried it down the stairs in tube a lot, as it is lightweight. Most baby strollers in the market prioritize function over style. Others completely forget about its style altogether. Not with the full-featured strollers from Maclaren that we are going to discuss today. The fold is not all that smooth anymore either. You don’t get that sort of side to side asymmetrical wear on most modern strollers anymore. A baby’s and will certainly get looser over time. But this looseness isn’t going to make it harder to fold. And that’s an addition to the fact that it’s not going to feel loose horizontally. And even when a Maclaren does fold easily, it’s simply not the most comfortable method of folding, nor the easiest stroller to carry when it’s folded. I’d much rather fold and carry a baby then we’re on the larger end of Baby Jogger City Mini than a Maclaren, especially when what I have to then carry around is as large as a golf bag, and might very well pinch my fingers.

Of course, it’s not an all-terrain stroller, so you are not going to get a very smooth ride going over terrain, but it does the job.
