If there's reason to doubt Fairtrade's integrity, or any confusion or suspicion around its aims, then consumers won't care. Ironically the losers will be the intended beneficiaries; the growers and our planet. Put simply, companies that use certified Fairtrade ingredients pay a premium. This premium is how Fairtrade ensures sustainable economic development by sharing the advantage across communities. It takes a lot more than accounting and enlightened supply chain management to lift people out of poverty through trade. The world drinks more than a million colas per minute but the people who grow kola nuts see very little of that profit. Watch this video to learn more about Karma Drink’s cola farmers. Closer to home, Fairtrade is important because it's shifting the way people think and buy, and they can choose their products confident they're making a good ethical choice.

Also, it would be cool if the reusable bottle came with a cap for when you aren’t using it ( I keep mine in the fridge so the water is cold, had to wash out an empty cap to make sure it didn’t topple over in fridge.
