It sits up there with the other hottest peppers in the world like the Trinidad Moruga (2 million SHU) and 7 Pot Douglah (1,853,936 SHU). The Chocolate Bhutlah (Capsicum Cinense) is a hot pepper that is a cross between the 7 Douglah peppers and the Bhut Jolokia or Ghost pepper. These two hot peppers are among the hottest varieties of peppers available.

Most Carolina Reaper plants spend the first few weeks of their growing process indoors before being moved outside for the remainder of the process, but this is not necessary.
