This tartar build up below your pet’s gum line causes inflammation and can damage the important structures which support the teeth and also cause infection. When the disease reaches this level, dogs and cats can go on to experience serious problems with their teeth, and often pain. Any dog or cat owner should ideally be aware of the possibility of dental disease in their pet. It can affect the gums, teeth and structures that surround and support the animal’s teeth. It often starts with a build-up of plaque on the teeth. The plaque is concerning because it contains bacteria and food particles. I’m a big fan of xylitol in my toothpaste and sugar-free gum. It’s actually good for your teeth. So my ears perked up years ago when I heard that just like chocolate, xylitol is toxic to dogs and cats, and I should never leave my gum or toothpaste lying around where my pets could get at them. DIRECTIONS FOR USE:Shake before using. Light sedimentation is normal. First pour recommended dose into empty bowl then add 250 ml of drinking water for every 2,5 ml of product using the dosing cup. Provide additional non-treated water as needed. Discard any treated water not consumed within 24 hours. Prepare fresh C.E.T. AQUADENT solution each day. It’s easy to forget that oral health is important for your pets too. Having clean teeth and gums not only makes them healthier, it can protect them from infections too. With smaller concentrations of xylitol, the onset of clinical signs could be delayed as much as 12 hours after ingestion,” according to a 2006 press release from the center. In general, the recommended dose is six millilitres of formula per 250 millilitres of water, but always ask your vet if you’re not sure.
