The guesser then has to find as many of the wrong answers as possible without accidentally revealing the correct answer. I can see this becoming a real family favourite for us, and the go to game after dinner when we have friends round.

If a blue fish is flipped, all players with a red herring still face down will score one point for each flipped fish on the board. It initially feels counter intuitive however, as instead of trying to find the truth (the single blue fish player), you’re trying to find as many red herrings as you can. The insert, which holds everything perfectly, is made of recycled paper and it certainly has that smell which reminds you of its green credentials. The fish are again randomly dealt out face down and the new Guesser starts out with the next card in the card holder.The red herring players will receive 1 point for every flipped fish on the table if their fish remains unflipped.

Winning in party games is a small part of the enjoyment you get from it, so whilst initially felt a little jarred, the game makes up for it. Not having to justify your response one way or another is a bit anticlimactic, for example, and while it's not necessarily a feature I wish was present, it's an example of there not being quite enough skill at play here. But, in this beautifully recycled box, is all the contents needed to create a lot of laughter and entertainment.In Sounds Fishy, each turn the guesser will draw a question card, reading it aloud and holding it up with the side with the blue answer on facing away so that the other players can see it. One player reads out a question and the other players all have to provide a fake answer except one player who has to tell the truth. Even though it's not one of Big Potato's best games, Sounds Fishy still has enough on the menu to be plenty of fun.

Some people may find the process of coming up with believable answers in a short amount of time a little tricky, or even stressful. They then take the dispenser with the question cards in, making sure the side with the blue answer on is facing down.So by the time you need to guess which are the wrong answers, you first have to try to remember what everyone has said (and how they said it). The questions are mostly so bizarre that we’re genuinely curious to just keep rattling through more of them. People can really try to put you off by seeming unsure when they give an answer or look ‘shifty’ all with the aim of throwing the guesser off the scent. Sounds Fishy (2022) is a push-your-luck communication game where you try to spot fake answers whilst avoiding the real ones. Then in turn, starting with the player to the left of the person reading out the question, everyone will then give their answer. To play back-to-back games simply turn in all your point chips and keep going round the table with more cards.Although you'll spend a hot moment getting your head around the points system (everyone uses slightly different rules), there's a pretty low barrier to entry here overall.
