Perhaps most importantly, these speakers offer excellent sound quality at high and low volumes. When we tested them, they showed no weaknesses at all in sounding crystal clear along the full lengths of the musical spectrum. We were particularly impressed with their gaming chops - even audio design geared at headphones was represented accurately, and that was without a subwoofer. What was not satisfying was the unusually short 4ft cables, which limit how you can set them up. However, being able to lay the speakers vertically or horizontally is a nice touch. The sound achieved surprisingly balanced audio for a speaker set asking for this much cash—a strong yes for anyone looking to upgrade their current dinky desktop speakers. This gaming soundbar is a great fit for your desk just under your monitor, especially if you don't have a laptop between you getting in the way. While the 5.1 surround sound aspect is certainly overplayed, there is a left/right audio distinction that's handy for playing competitive shooters, but only when sat at a desk - you'll lose the distinction if playing on a TV from your couch. We've seen plenty of Razer headsets perform much better on the immersive audio front though, especially with something like the Razer Nari Ultimate. Though, given how compact the Leviathan is, the sound it provides is impressive.

Wired speakers are a reliable option and easy to set up, but they aren't right for everyone. Some gamers may not have room nearby their PCs for speakers, while others may prefer a more flexible setup that allows them to put speakers wherever they want (such as shelves positioned closer to your ears). Here's where wireless speakers come in, and none are quite as good as these Audioengine models. The 240-watt speakers offer excellent audio quality without the need to take up space with a subwoofer, ensuring you'll be able to hear (and often feel) every rumble, musical cue, and crash of sound. Yes! Soundbars can absolutely be worth it for your PC setup and even offer up some of the best computer speakers given their design, and pedigree. Providing compact desk-top designs, the audio in these soundbars is excellent and while different from traditional speakers in terms of the direction the audio is presented, can be rich, detailed, and provide excellent immersive experiences. Between work calls and Discord chatting, my voice was clear and sounded good. If you're someone who hates wearing headsets all day, it's a nice feature.

The G560 comes with a very powerful down-firing subwoofer which proved to be amazing for things like explosions but became quite overpowering at low volumes while listening to music. Adjustments in the software help a little but you're on your own if you've connected to bluetooth. The Audio Visualizer, which changes the lighting based on audio that is playing, was far more subtle than I expected it to be. The actual audible volume output didn’t affect the lights in intensity at all, which is what I expected, but instead it was all based on the frequencies present in the music signal. I found myself occasionally getting distracted by the effect as I was typing and could definitely see myself having it on while playing music as I did other things around the house. The GP9 pretty much does everything and then some, which would explain the super-high price point. But if you are looking for an incredibly versatile gaming speaker that sounds incredible and can do it all. The built-in microphone is nice, but I don't see it replacing a headset/microphone combo for team games that require a little more coordination. If you're playing a competitive multiplayer game, it's probably best that you whip on a gaming headset so you can hear every footstep and audio cue. Then again, if you're playing something a bit more relaxed, like an open-world exploration game that makes use of ambient music, some of the best computer speakers will help the experience wash over you. Not to mention, if you work from home or need audio solutions for general PC use, speakers are the way to go.
