Describing the outfit Sam Ryder commented, “ This jumpsuit was worn at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin during our performance of Space Man. For me, it tells the story of a turning point in the competition for the UK and in my personal journey with music. The suit itself took over 210 hours of work and over 15,000 beads and gems to create (around the same number of hours I spent practising the high notes in the song!) The process of writing Space Man with dear friends, the journey we went on as a team and the positive reception and result we received all culminated in a moment shared in this suit, and I couldn’t be more grateful it’s going on public display for Liverpool and fans a round the world to enjoy.” Sparkling with symbolism, Sam Ryder’s outfit worn on stage at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will go on public display at the British Music Experience ahead of the city hosting the 67th edition of the song contest culminating with the final on 13 May 2023. Taking impetus from the awe-inspiring wonders of precious life on planet Earth, Camp Bestival Shropshire celebrated with a roaring Wildlife theme as thousands of families transformed into their favourite species. Radio legend and long-time friend of the festival Sara Cox hosted and judged Saturday’s family fancy dress competition as families walked the fancy dress catwalk in their incredible costumes. Tying in with the animal theme, Camp Bestival also partnered with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for the festival whose giant panda helped lead the fancy dress parade around the festival. Camp Bestival Shropshire takes place at Weston Park, opening today, and continuing until Sunday evening, with thousands of people set to attend. Those looking for some family downtime enjoyed much needed time out in the Slow Motion wellness area on the banks of Park Pool within the immaculate grounds of Weston Park. From ice baths and meditation to yoga sessions and sleep retreats, plus much more guaranteed a weekend of wellness and recuperation in amongst the festival excitement. The peaceful lake took centre stage as families enjoyed wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and raft racing.
