Lastly and most importantly for me the digital temperature control or PID (proportional Integral Derivative) is another key difference between the two machines. It has the same amount of milk texture and milk temperature settings as the Creatista Plus but has up to 7 brewing sizes.

The machine is small and compact just like the Nespresso Creatista Uno but only comes in a silver stainless steel color. The Creatista Pro can brew and steam simultaneously (220V - 240V Models), whereas the Creatista Plus cannot.To go the extra mile, and to make sure it is never out of place, the machine even connects to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to update itself and offer you a constantly seamless experience. When you lift the lever, the used pod is ejected into the admittedly smallish catchment drawer below. These are the most sought after type of coffee machine that Sage manufactures and have cemented their place as home coffee machine giants. The range of drinks you can prepare with the Creatista Plus or Pro with the push of some buttons is what makes these machines so special. For machines that can make two espressos at once, we also measure the volume and temperature of the coffee in each cup to see if you end up with two evenly matched espressos.

Before I do that though, there are a couple of key bits of information I reckon all Nespresso machine users or would-be Nespresso machine users need to know before deciding on which may be the best Nespresso machine for them. The Nespresso Creatista Uno does not come with a digital display but has 6 buttons that are used to control all of its functionality.It’s very much a domestic version of a commercial espresso machine as it doesn’t have the built in grinder like many of the other Sage coffee machines and has two separate boilers. The size is not enough to hold enough ground coffee for a mug of authentic espresso taste, so it is bulked up with freeze dried. Having said that some of the higher-end Sage Espresso Machines rival even pod machines for convenience and speed. The “special” bits are the auto opening and closing, and the water tank is movable, meaning that you can move the position of the water tank. It still gives you a couple of jobs to take care of, like grinding and tamping but rest assured that you will be able to produce almost barista standard milk at the push of a button.

It's really not expensive (if you think it is – see my best bean to cup coffee machines post and my best espresso machines post), there are much more expensive Nespresso machines, and for the money, this machine does look and feel decent. When cleaning the machine daily, all you need to do is wipe the exteriors of the machine and make sure to empty the drip tray after use.Go with the Creatista Pro if you want the best all-in-one machine Nespresso has ever made with the additional bells and whistles detailed above.

Now, it goes without saying that we’re mostly big fans of Sage products, and of the Best nespresso machines.

There is also an option to remove the filter attachment completely and place your pour-over brewer over the thermal jug. The fast heat up feature is great for when you’re in a hurry, as you’ll spend less time waiting for your morning pick me up. Featuring a fully-automatic steam wand, the machine offers 3 levels of milk temperature and fast adjustments to create café quality coffee as well as beautiful latte art creations. If you’re on a budget or don’t mind the lack of a digital display then I think the Nespresso Creatista Uno will suit you well.
