The album features Danielewski reading from House of Leaves on several tracks, as well as audio recordings that Tad Danielewski left for Mark and Poe, [27] [28] which they found after his death. Much of the scholarship and commentary on The Navidson Record notes the vaginal quality of the house (for example, the footnote on page 358).
