The programme was made over two years and Ant and Dec journeyed to places such as Ireland and United States of America. As time went on filming Byker Grove, both Ant and Dec became fascinated with how the production of a TV series actually worked.

ANT and Dec have announced they are releasing a new book to celebrate 30 years of working in TV together.

The toll of the arrest and subsequent conviction took its toll on their friendship and they have admitted that they "considered splitting up". Dropped a point as it was fairly short, and I'm sure in 30 years they could have delved further into several stories. The autobiography chronicles every part of their lives from growing up to finding love to their success and downfalls along the way. Their last studio album, The Cult of Ant and Dec, was released in 1997, managing to chart at number 15. All the while, Ant and Dec were walking back to their dressing rooms happily unbeknown to them what had just happened on the Brits stage!

But I couldn't help but feel like it was a quick buck to make during lockdown, let's chuck a few stories together, etc etc.This audiobook is just brilliant, the PDF photo book to accompany the storytelling is a wonderful touch and the nice surprising at the end of them reading this superbly written book is what really made me laugh. Speaking in a candid interview with Guardian's Weekend magazine Dec said: “It felt like a nightmare, that there’d been a mistake. I love the way they have put it together like they are just chatting to each other, even tho we learn they wrote most of it separately during lockdown. Has been on ITV in Britain every year since it started in 2002, and a couple of years had two series per year, namely two series in 2004. From the short segments to the pictures, it felt just like hearing a heartfelt story from someone you love.

stars from me- i’ll be forever grateful that i found out about all the drawings david walliams used to do on ant and dec’s scripts and the nicknames he had for them, and dec’s fear of needles being significantly worse than his fear of having a spider bite swell up when they were in australia (yes there are pictures in the book of him passed out on the floor). Their book and their prerogative of course but it would be interesting to get some deeper insight into the shows in their career that didn't go so well.

We'd spend all day making each other laugh and annoying everyone and quoting Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer lines to each other. Ant previously revealed his friendship with Dec started in 1990, when he sent him a Christmas card and invited him to a football match.
