I really like how the panels are already pre-covered with nice little prints, which clearly and easily signify what each room is surprised to be – Evie’s favourite has to be the living room for sure! For a dollhouse that doesn’t have a lot of small parts that pose choking hazards for toddlers, the Little People Playset from Fisher-Price is a solid choice. It does come with three figures and seven other play pieces, including a table, three chairs, one pool, and a cake, that young ones can move throughout the four rooms in the house. There’s also a working tree swing you can set the figures on, plus an outdoor patio, and a swimming pool, which you can fold up and store play pieces in when not in use. The refrigerator and oven doors open to mimic a real kitchen, and a sliding trundle bed adds a third sleeping spot for all three figures.

The dolls house comes with wall fixings and I would strongly advise you to not waste any time in fixing it to the wall. Because the house is tall, Evie has tried on a few occasions to pull herself a little higher to see the attic, which of course means that she places all her weight at the top. Made from sturdy wood that’s meant to last for years, we love this wooden dollhouse from Pidoko for its gender-neutral colors (painted with child-safe paint) and open-sided build, which allows more than one child to play at once. Kids can access the dollhouse from all sides, making it easy to move figures and furniture around as they play. It also comes with moveable stairs, which kids can place where they want. Ruined Christmas I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I’m writing this review as I’ve spent the last hour and a half trying to assemble it and I’m so frustrated. The instructions are awful. The house stands almost 2 feet tall, making it a great size for a toddler and small children to play while learning hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills, which helpds justify the high price tag. There are e ight rooms are spread across four floors and perhaps most impressive of all is the working life for the dolls to move between levels. I bought the Kidkraft Majestic Mansion dollhouse for Evie a year ago now and it’s been a mainstay of our playroom ever since. It’s perfect for dolls up to 12 inches, like Barbies or equivalent fashion dolls. It has a straightforward assembly process and is big enough for multiple kids to play at the same time when they’ve got friends over.
