YES we love detailed stuff, and we do like out books moderately long but this is like pushing it a little too far by unnecessarily dragging stuff out. Too bad I knew what kind of information could be leaked from the police, and how easily and often it was done. My father, Victor Reyes, was a cop, and I’d heard plenty on that subject.

I gave Reflected in You (Crossfire #2) by Sylvia Day 4 STARS. Ms. Day is an extremely talented author. Reflected in You is a SEXY adult romance novel that will captivate readers. I strongly recommend this series to adults who like domineering men, wounded characters, and emotional roller coasters. The ending left us in a good place. My heart is happy and I couldn't have asked for a better place to pause their story while we wait for the rest of the series to be released. I loved that they had this intensely passionate, tumultuous relationship but at the core of it all was always their strong, unwavering love for each other. Everything else was just details. The couple then heads to a gala, where Gideon is being honored for his work in philanthropy. Eva is proud of him and they share a dance and a kiss. However, their evening is cut short when Gideon’s ex-girlfriend, Corinne, shows up and creates a scene. There was also real no stupidity and no cheating throughout the book. Yes, the characters made mistakes, but they're only human. I `understood' everything that both Gideon and Eva did throughout the book. I understood why they messed up and I respected them for trying to fix their mistakes.

I know some people said that the ending left them "desperately wanting more", and while I respect their opinion, I just don't get it to be honest. The story HAD to end somewhere and since we know there will be more books I was completely happy with the ending. Yes, in the issues external to the relationship, there are still unanswered questions but, if there weren't any, then how would we ever have more books?? He caught me to him, his arms banded tight around me. His face pressed into my throat. "Where do we go from here?"

Then I remembered my stepbrother’s hands all over me… his weight pressing me into the mattress… the tearing pain between my legs as he rammed into me over and over… Story - Okay, it's my fault. I listened to Bared to You and Reflected in You and didn't learn my lesson about this series. The problem is that I love the story of Ava and Gideon, their tortured pasts and their hot chemistry... but I'm getting really bored with the constant sex. There's a saying that applies here, "Less is more." A s Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts, they also must accept the consequences of their obsessive desires . . .

This book was an abomination. The first two were great and were moving along nicely with a great storyline and great characters and now the third part of a trilogy suddenly becomes a the third part of a five books series. The story is stretched so thin, it's like wet toilet paper, and just as enticing. When I found out that the crossfire series was to be extended I vaguely remembered, like @GiGi said she did warn us that there would be two more installments to the series. I believe and I’m sure other fans may agree, the wait for the next two books could be long and that is a major spirit dampener. When there is no hype, there is no interest and I hope Ms. Day has people around her reminding her of this. and phew. I managed to point out my negatives without turning this review into a hate-filled rant. Overall, the book was alright with a few glaring issues. I do find myself more invested than I was with book 1 (which felt like a better-written version of Fifty and left me underwhelmed), so I'll probably give book 3 a shot. Stars!! No shades of grey here…Sylvia Day writes in full blown TECHNICOLOR! She paints Eva and Gideon’s intense, passionate, tumultuous relationship, in rich vivid detail. Just when you think their troubles are behind them, think again!

I’d left Gideon alone because I couldn’t trust Graves’s motives. I couldn’t take the chance that she’d told me her suspicions just to see if I’d run to him and prove that his breakup with me was a well-crafted lie.

I loved this book for what is was, for what I expected it to be, for staying true to the characters that hooked me to the series to begin with. I hope the next two books come soon, while all of these thoughts and feelings are fresh in my head and in my heart. “Whatever we face, we face together.” Thank you, readers! I loved watching them genuinely, step-by-step work through their issues. I loved being able to see their progress and to see them grow both as individuals and as a couple. I loved the book .Honestly after Reflected I needed to see them have alone time and connect and they needed it too.It was also great to see that they have so much more in common with each other than hot sex and we got a glimpse into the HEA.I loved how Gideon allowed himself to be vulnerable with her and how they talk through issues this time around. Positive Number 3 : Gideon can talk the talk and walk the walk. Dirty talk coupled with dirty sex is always rewarding. Forever.” His fingertips pressed against my parted lips. “It’s over, Eva. Don’t argue about something that’s too late to change.”
