Reusable Silicone Bags– these are a non-branded silicone bag that is much less expensive than other brands. They stand up on their own which makes filling them really easy! banana– you can slice multiple bananas and freeze flat on a tray ahead of time (the riper the better imo) Put frozen cubes of milk or juice in the blender ahead of time to thaw. The best smoothies start with some sort of liquid (if everything is frozen solid, the blender won’t work). Definitely use the frozen cubes of leftover milk or juice, but toss them in the blender either the night before or even just 10-15 minutes before you blend. Wide mouth jars work the best as the ingredients are easier to get out when I start blending. There is no worry that the glass will break, as the liquid isn’t added until blending. Prepping Produce

Creamy Factor– Yogurt, mango, banana, avocado. Kefir is also good and doubles as the liquid as well. Liquid (for blending, but not for freezing) – Dairy milk, non-dairy milk ( almond milk, coconut milk, rice milk), orange juice, or water.Invest in good tools. Not everyone has the budget to invest, but when you’re ready to, here’s what I recommend: When prepping oranges, make sure to peel the tough yellow part, yet keep the white pith surrounding the orange. A lot of vitamin C lives in the pith, and that’s what we want! While I don’t recommend using the boxed frozen spinach since it usually has additives (and reminds me of slime), you can absolutely add fresh spinach to your smoothie prep as I mentioned above. We wanted to use one shopping list interchanging the ingredients as much as possible when putting together these recipes. We came up with 5 smoothies that are all their own flavor, while still using some of the same ingredients. We’ve made a SHOPPING LIST that you can find below, as well as in the notes of the recipe. Nut Powders. PB Fit and PB2 and Chocolate PB Fit are super tasty, but be sure to watch out for added sugars. Naked PB is a good sugar-free brand. Endless flavors. You can try new fruit and vegetable combinations so you never run out of flavors to try. This smoothie is one of our very favorite green smoothies. Sweet bananas and tangy peaches make this a hit with kids! Cherries gives this smoothie a bright pink color and that delicious cherry flavor. Combined with pineapple and orange, it is super citrusy and sooooo good.

Yogurt. Yogurt is high in protein and helps make smoothies creamy. Fresh yogurt is best, but you can also use frozen yogurt. ( Here’s how to freeze yogurt, and if you’re REALLY feeling fancy, here’s how to make yogurt from scratch.) I like to use an ice cube tray to freeze add-ins like nut butters, Greek yogurt, and even honey. My favorite silicone ice cube tray is pictured below. Each cube holds about 1 1/2 tablespoons and inverts easily to pop out whatever is inside!
