A normal foreskin can retract freely over the glans because of the absence of an inelastic phimotic ring. In a normal foreskin, in place of a tight stenotic phimotic ring, we have something called a ridged band, which basically consists of a few nerve endings (They actually help with sensitivity and make the sexual intercourse pleasurable through its gliding action over the glans). Phimosis can also be caused by a congenital condition, where the foreskin is naturally too tight and cannot be retracted. This is known as physiological phimosis and is common in newborns and young children. However, it usually resolves on its own as the child grows older.Side note, you can use method 1 for larger rings as well (Greater than 25 mm) by pressing and putting on the Phimostretch ring against an erect penis glans. Method 2- Urination- Peeing with accuracy- You may find that your aim may not be as good as you would like it to be. We would like to point out that it is going to be very rare where you can not put on a bigger ring if your current size ring is loose enough. Chances are that if you are unable to move on to the bigger ring size, your current ring is still snug and tight enough that it is providing sufficient stretch to your phimotic band. In most cases, users want to rush to the next ring size and they end up hurting their foreskin by using a bigger ring. You should avoid that.
