JELOS's developers had moved away from releasing public binaries, developing their project as sourcecode only, and were dropping support for Anbernic's ARM-based devices to focus on newer and more capable x86-based devices, but left the option open for others to continue to support these devices using JELOS's exisiting code, to build and/or release their own binaries as they see fit… EDIT: Now, as of Feb 19 2023, JELOS is once again releasing builds for RK3566 Anbernic devices. Now that you have a front end launcher, you’ll want to set it as your default desktop and auto-start when you first boot Android. The RG353V and RG353VS is a great option for those requiring a high performance and reliable retro gaming console. It supports many consoles from the 70’s up to 2000’s for you to be easily able to relive or discover the thousands of classic games for them! This OS does not come pre-installed with Google Play store so you’ll either have to sideload your apps, use a third-party app like the Aurora Store, or follow a walkthrough on installing the Google Play store onto the device. It could be that you're unit's battery is low on charge and you need to charge it. Make sure you let it completely charge.

If using EXT4, be sure that permissions for the contents of the second sd card are set to user/group 1002:1002. Otherwise, you may experience issues with successfully running games for some systems. Overall, I think ANBERNIC saved themself with this handheld, it’s a great, well rounded vertical device that I will undoubtedly use throughout the coming months. This is a beneficial feature that they have included on prior models, as in the event of corruption to the firmware during an update, or simply when you’d like to reflash to a different firmware entirely, it does not require you to migrate your entire ROM library if they are on the secondary card instead. I personally don’t recommend installing Play Store as it will impact performance. Without the Play store, your options of playable games will be more limited but if you are resourceful, you can probably find some apks that don’t require the play store to load. Powering the device is a 3200 mAh battery, which Anbernic has stated will last up to 6 hours of usage. Of course, your mileage will vary depending on how much horsepower your gaming demands. You’ll be likely to have much more battery time out of easy tasks like NES or Genesis emulation than you would out of the more challenging N64 or Dreamcast.

For PSP emulation, I got Tekken 6 and GTA Vice City Stories running at 60fps and 30 fps respectively. However, the screen size of the RG353V is rather restrictive, especially for DS emulation on DraStic. For emulator, select either retroarch, retroarch32 or standalone where applicable. For core, select your preferred core. Let’s finish up by talking about the screen, and it is a lovely screen indeed. It is a 3.5-inch IPS display, with OCA lamination and 640×480 resolution. In addition to this, it has full multipoint capacitive touch capabilities, and it is very responsive, allowing for great Android navigation. You’ll recognize the overall quality as being fairly similar to recent Anbernic handhelds like the RG351MP and 351V, as well as the recent 353P, which all have very gorgeous vibrance and color. Even at its minimum brightness the beautiful display of the 353V is so much brighter than its inspiration
