Im not an analogue snob and digital tech is amazing but i think im happier with analogue preamp and i just plain prefer the sound from a real guitar cab to frfr. I think the fact it's digital as opposed to the analog Joyos makes it, to my ear, a little less friendly with external pedals and a little more. Details: Based on the AC-30 tube amplifier that, with a little help from two mop-top multi-instrumentalists, revolutionized the electric guitar sound, the Joyo AC Tone pedal really rocks our age. I like the AC, but the American Sound will fit me better (my three amps are a Princeton NR, Super Reverb, and VHT based on a BF Champ).

Level and drive controls add incredible range, while the 3-band eq offers even more flexibility when it comes to getting an original sound.Do not run you iron too hot (hence the leaded solder), and be quick, or the copper pads may de-laminate. It's speaker sim seems to be the most "neutral" to my ears - I don't think you would be disappointed with the American Sound as a replacement for your ACTONE. I know I dont toss around back-handed comment's about other people's spending habits or expectations of value with some false ethical validation. But it sounded good enough to use direct into the PA at rehearsal so I started leaving the amp in the vehicle.

I was fortunate enough to be in a band with a guy that owned a vox A/C 30 TBX-6 and nothing sounds like them.Has anyone tried the Joyo American Sound and/or Joyo AC Tone, as well as the Quilter Superblock US or UK?

OK - I doubt that it will have that "sweet spot" overdrive tone of a Real AC30 cranked to the Max, and ive never tried, but for what I do, it does the job. Then by chance I tried it out with my EHX 5MM power amp with a TC Electronic Spark Boost (4 knob) behind it. I used my Quilter 101 Mini as the clean amp, with the Joyo American in front for the overdrive, and kicked in some dB boost from an eq pedal for the heavier lead parts.As such the Wampler Thirty does a great job of providing the AC 30 sound through an amp and the tone controls are more intuitive then the AC Tone pedal by Joyo.
