I’m a bit pissed off about the last woman they gave me because, if she’d bothered to show any interest or genuinely tried to explain anything to me, it might have made a difference these last few years before I thought to try it again. Everything is explained in an accessible and digestible way, I'd definitely recommend to anyone feeling daunted about all that adult-ing entails.

Now, everyone’s journey will be different, but we all have the very same opportunity to get better at looking after our money. Otherwise, there is the odd useful tip scattered through, like thoughts on whether to prioritise saving or paying off debt. Money: A User’s Guide by Laura Whateley was published in 2018 and aims to educate young people between the ages of 18 and 40 about how to best handle their money. I am extremely grateful to Laura Whateley for writing this book and then taking the time to update it. And we’re proud to say, that some of them even ditched their Financial Advisors, after experiencing the value we provide.El libro está bien pero es bastante basico y tuve que saltear demasiadas secciones porque no aplican al pais donde vivo. And maybe it wouldn’t have been so many years if I hadn’t suspected they’d make me talk to her again, haha! And we’re proud to say, that some of them even ditched their Financial Advisors, after experiencing the value we provide. Intended audience is British millennials (which she defines as anyone born between 1980-2000), but if you are older or younger, this can still be useful!

After finishing the book I quite literally feel like I have just finished a year at college and passed the final exam with flying colours. From a personal perspective, much of the information I was already aware of thanks to being pretty interested in personal finance anyway, but Whateley's book serves as an easily digestible, vital read for anyone interested in setting themselves up for better personal financial management (and without falling into the trap of demanding you cut out every bit of 'fun' spending as some personal finance hawks do). For the beginner, the chapter on saving will be helpful because interest rates, inflation, and a variety of savings accounts are explained.Even though I am young and the topics the author does not directly address my financial goal at the moment, it allows you to gain an insight into one’s financial journey to navigate in your mid 20’s to late 30’s. her experience as a journalist on the money desk for The Times, The Sunday Times and the Guardian allows her to do something that I'd never experienced she explains money clearly.
