The QD-OLED panel of the monitor attempts to merge the perfect black levels of OLEDs with the broad colour range of quantum dot displays. Fundamentally, the two provide the same function: providing maximum performance, minimal latency, and no tearing. Word processing benefits from the easy ability to place two documents next to each other in full-page view. Additional features include a USB hub, audio jack, and adjustable stand that can be tilted, swivelled, and height-adjusted to provide optimal viewing comfort.by 12 inches, the monitor’s 34-inch screen is put to good use, with a rated brightness peak of 1,000 nits (which we’ll put to the test below), an effectively infinite contrast ratio (due to the nature of OLED), and a 21:9 screen ratio, putting it squarely in ultrawide territory. We did the testing with a PC with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics card, and the brightness is the same even with an AMD RX 6600 XT graphics card. In terms of picture quality, the Samsung monitor uses Mini LED backlighting that lets it get much brighter, and the Dell is better for dark rooms thanks to its near-infinite contrast ratio. The 240-280Hz refresh rate is really good too, though coming from 144/165Hz perhaps not as noticeable an improvement as you might expect.

Lastly, the LG doesn't have the same raised black level issue in bright rooms as the Dell, meaning blacks are still deep and inky when viewed in well-lit rooms. It doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare, but because of its fantastic reflection handling, you won't see distracting glare with a few lights around, either.

An outstanding feature of the AW2723DF is its remarkable ability to augment the visual brilliance of games, exemplified in the stunning enhancement it brings to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. That's about as cheap as we've ever seen it, and well worth it for anyone that wants a monitor primarily for gaming rather than content creation or mixed purposes. Display resolution: 3440 x 1440 pixels, HD type: UltraWide Quad HD, Display technology: OLED, Response time: 0. The pixel response on an OLED can make a panel feel faster than it is on paper compared to an LCD panel. A few minor demerits still linger, but it's hard to stay mad at an OLED for being so appealing in just about every other area.
