IGN Comics: One of the most visually striking elements of the book is the way you mixed a more "traditional" art style with the painted style your fans are used to seeing. It seemed to me that the painted moments were supposed to be the most iconic or cinematic, almost like a slow motion effect. What determined which sequences were done in which style? What emotions or reactions were you wanting to draw out from the reader?

Still, within these basic parameters there is plenty of room to play. For example, Croc was probably the most exaggerated of the villains, but his skin condition is something that actually really exists so although his appearance is fairly extreme, you can actually find a real world explanation. Most of the time he seems to be portrayed as some kind of huge monster. Our Croc is more monstrous in his actions given that he pretty much helps dispose of bodies in... uhhhh... interesting ways.
