Unlike the radios looked at so far, the Evoke F3 is an internet radio. This means you can connect to WiFi and listen to Spotify or the 20,000+ internet radio stations from across the world. You can also connect to your phone or other device via Bluetooth to use your radio as a wireless speaker. Some buyers found their radio suddenly stopped working (though it does come with a 3-year warranty) Like the D2, the Evoke D4 is also available with Bluetooth. This lets you stream internet radio or MP3s from your phone, MP3 player or laptop (provided they have Bluetooth). The Evoke D4 with Bluetooth comes in a maple veneer casing. It has the same features and design as the regular D4 except for offering Bluetooth connectivity.

Another thing we enjoyed about the Pure Evoke C-D6 is the fact that it’s future-proof. We’re not just talking about being able to access Bluetooth streaming here, either. While the Evoke C-D6 is an expensive piece of machinery – it’s also an investment in excellent audio quality. The Evoke D6 with Bluetooth isn’t going to revolutionise the DAB radio market, but it does continue the trend of the Evoke range being a fine option for those looking for a solid, dependable radio. This radio isn’t cheap, but it looks and sounds fantastic. Unlike many other DAB radios, it offers stereo sound thanks to the two built-in speakers. If you don’t mind spending a bit more to get a really top-quality product, the Evoke D6 with Bluetooth is a good buy. The Evoke C-D6’s CD player has a slot-loading design so you just push the CD in rather than placing it on a tray. The CD player seems to be temperamental as many buyers have had issues with it stopping working after a few months of use, or being very slow to read CDs. If being able to listen to thousands of radio stations via the internet sounds exciting, the Evoke F3 could be a good buy. It’s a very modern and reliable radio with lots of smart features, and can connect with your phone, laptop and other devices.

While the digital display on this product isn’t in colour, it’s clear enough to read even from a few feet away, which is a nice bonus. A closer look at the display might make you think you’re using an internet radio! We really appreciated how immersive it felt to use this radio and the fact that we could access Bluetooth streaming as well as DAB. Unlike on some other radios, the Evoke C-D6 changes DAB station almost instantaneously, so you don’t need to wait a few seconds for it to retune. The Evoke D2 is pretty much the same as the D1, the real difference is in the outer oak or walnut casing. The wooden casing contributes to a better sound overall, and also looks great. Detail levels are fine for the money and the general balance isn’t bass or treble heavy. Push the Pure hard and its balanced approach stops everything from descending into a crashy, brash affair.If being able to stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device like a smartphone or laptop is important to you, the Evoke D4 with Bluetooth is a good option. Otherwise you should go for the regular Evoke D4, which costs less.

Autotuning: Once powered on, the radio will automatically search for the available stations. Wait for it to complete an autotune, after which a station will start playing. What sets the Evoke C-D6 apart from smaller models in the Evoke range, such as the H3, is the fact that it boasts full stereo sound. Without this, you wouldn't be getting the most out of your CDs, but it also adds a whole new dimension to radio listening, too. By the time we finished our Pure Evoke CD-6 review, it was clear to us that this radio is one that you can easily fall in love with. As with the rest of the Evoke range, the Pure C-D6 includes both DAB and FM radio modes. With both, there's the ability to save station presets. Three one-touch preset buttons let you instantly access your favourites, while a separate menu has space for twenty. On the front of the device, you’ll see the iconic Pure logo, two sizable stereo speakers, tuning and volume knobs, along with a range of buttons for controlling your CD player and radio.As part of the Evoke all-in-one music system collection, you can expect an easy-to-use interface with the CD-6, including intuitive and simple controls. The Evoke C-D6 is also impressive when it comes to sound quality. On the downside, one slight performance issue we had was that the remote wasn’t always very responsive. We had to make sure we were pointing the device directly at the radio for it to work. Pure Evoke C-D6 review: Verdict With a rated power of 20 W, the radio delivers a satisfactory sound experience. It is equipped with two built-in speakers, with a subwoofer driver diameter of 3 inches, offering a balanced and immersive audio performance.
