A citrus reamer can be very useful if you need to make small batches of juice on occasion. Simple and easy to use, this classic from Williams Sonoma gets the job done. Unlike other types of juicers, a reamer can be used at any angle to extract every last drop of citrus juice, whether it's an extra-large lemon or small key lime. Better yet, because it’s more compact than a standard manual juicer, a reamer is great for people who are short on counter or storage space.

Simple Design– If you want this kind of juice extractor make sure you choose one that features the simplest design. An old-fashioned juicer will get the job done in the shortest time possible and, most importantly, won’t cost too much. Usability Tests: Throughout testing, we evaluated how easy each juicer was to use. Ease of use: This reamer required the least amount of effort to use and was compatible with lemons of all levels of ripeness, limes, and even a small orange. The bottom round that held the fruit helped contain the seeds and more of the juices that would otherwise spurt out from the sides, which tended to happen with the other squeezers I evaluated.

Less Mess: Unlike other juicing tools, citrus reamers create little to no mess. Some models, like the Etinslant Citrus Reamer, even feature a built-in cup to catch the juice as you extract it. This feature minimizes spills, making cleanup a breeze.The Oxo Good Grips Wooden Citrus Reamer leaves nothing on the table—for better or for worse. This option allows near-total control of the amount of juice one can yield from any piece of citrus. So if you wanted to squeeze out every last drop, it would be in your power to do so. The downside? There’s no buffer for pulp, seeds, and pith, which could contribute to a bitter taste, especially if the reamer is used so aggressively that the white pith underneath the citrus peel makes it into the glass.

Ease of use: This squeezer was to use. It required a moderate amount of force with an unripe lemon but was much easier with a softer, ripe one. Some have strainers directly attached to them. These strainers will catch any pulp and seeds that fall away from the fruit.
