What happens if I roll a 2 bull’s eye but there are only two players left in the game, does it still count? I bought this just a few months after getting the base game. The expansion is separated into five modules (counting new characters). We started with all five right away. We think 5+ is the best player count for this game. We really don’t like this game at 3 players, there are no hidden roles at this player count. 4 is fun but there is no deputy. At 5+ all roles are in play and there is more tension as it is harder to tell who is who. And lastly you have the ghost cowboy. The first player who dies becomes the ghost and can help his team (or hinder his foes) a bit from beyond the grave. It's the most odd addition but also can be kinda fun to throw in sometimes. Depending on your role you have a different tasks you need to complete. (1) Sheriff must eliminate all outlaws and renegades, (2) Outlaws must eliminate the Sheriff, (3) Must help and protect the Sheriff and (4) Renegade must be the last player in the game.

BANG! The Dice Game keeps the core of the Bang! card game in place. At the start of the game, players each take a role card that secretly places them on a team: the Sheriff and deputies, outlaws, and renegades. The Sheriff and deputies need to kill the outlaws, the outlaws win by killing the Sheriff, and the renegades want to be the last players alive in the game. I have never played the original bang but I read a lot about how this is the simplified version of itself and I’m actually glad that I played this one first just to try it out with people who have never played it.

Bang the Dice Game is a Small, fast, fun, filler game for 5 to 8 players. however you can play it with 3 or 4 players too, but she shoot me down with more than 5 players Bang Bang! Bang! The Dice Game can be played in as little as 15 minutes. Bang! is a far longer game and can take 40 minutes to play. Beer:Choose any player and restore one life point. Shuffle these three roles: Deputy, Outlaw, and Renegade. Give one of them randomly to each player, but place them face up on the table. Everyone knows the role of all three players. The goal of each player is determined by his role: It's a fast paced game, especially once you know how to play. However this is a player elimination game, and it's not unheard of for someone to go out in the 1st round! Thankfully the game length is short, so this wouldn't be a major problem, and it is definitely fun to play. With that said we still enjoyed the time we played because of one fun element, the character cards and the unique abilities they had. That is the saving grace of 3 player games, hoping to get a character with an ability that will save you, like turning damage into arrows or being able to roll a 4th time. There's a progressive scale depending on the number of players but the rules are virtually the same, although there's a variant for 3 players. The bullet tokens represent your hp (hit points/health) and each roll gives you chances to damage others or other effects like Native American Indians invading, dealing damage to all players or yourself and regaining health.

The game ends immediately if the Sheriff is eliminated or all the Outlaws and Renegades are eliminated. If the Sheriff is eliminated and the Renegade is the only one alive, the Renegade wins. Otherwise, the Outlaws win. If all the Outlaws and Renegades are eliminated the Sheriff and the Deputies win. Thoughts from the Wild West The Sheriff and Deputies win if all opposition are dead otherwise the Outlaws win in any other situation. Unless an ability says otherwise, when you gain a life point (bullet) or arrow, take it from the central pile. If you lose a life point or arrow, return it to the pile.

Gatling – If a player rolls three Gatling symbols in a turn then the Gatling gun is activated and all other players lose one hit point. Don’t forget as the Renegade you want to be the one to kill the Sheriff, so you will have to keep him alive until the other players are eliminated Each turn begins with players rolling the five dice included in the game. Players can choose to keep or re-roll any number of dice, but the third roll must be accepted. Dynamite cannot be re-rolled. At every player count the mixture of role cards changes, and slightly shifts the balance of the teams. This combined with 16 different character cards to choose from keeps the game interesting over multiple plays. We have found that at an odd number of players (5 for example) the Outlaws have a greater challenge. This is because the Renegades, Sheriff and Deputies tend to work together at least early in the game leaving the Outlaws outnumbered by 1. On your turn, you roll all your dice. You have two more rolls of any number of dice you want. Once all your rolls are over, you resolve the results. The components are great too. The box is small and compact, has great artwork and it feels very high quality. The dice are really hefty and nicely detailed with specific icons. The cards and tokens too are really well designed, making all of the information easily understandable.

If you lose your last life point, you are out of the game. Show your role to all players and discard all your arrows. If you are eliminated, you do not act in the game anymore. But, if your team partners win, you win too. There's 5 new modules that you can include into your games, these can be separate or as a set to vary play. The only thing that Bang is going to give you that these other games don’t, and better, is the dice… but dice just don’t work in this kind of game. Or at least, they don’t work very well in this game and I have never seen a game of a similar ilk where they’ve improved the experience. As I say, it’s fine. It’s a game that functions. It’s kind of funny for a while and an agreeable enough way to kill the precious hours of your life until the grave finally takes you. But come on, that’s not enough. That’s not the bar, it can’t be the bar, that we expect games to clear to be worth your attention. Gameplay is very fast and engaging, players are never left in a situation of AP, and the game flows very smoothly. Even 8 player games can be wrapped up in under 15 minutes.The Sheriff reveals himself by turning his card face up. All other players look at their role but must keep it secret. Once per turn, you can use a to double a or . The dice you double takes two life points away from the same player (you can't choose two different players). It features the same wild west shootout with a sheriff who can’t quite remember who is a loyal Deputy and who is a treacherous Outlaw. As the name suggests, this version uses dice instead of cards to see who lives and who dies. What I love most about this game is the replay factor. Every time you play this game, it will always be different mainly because you are trying to deduct who is who by analyzing what their actions were. Also the specific characters roles can really change the game a lot.
