It mimics the natural lubrication produced by a woman's body, providing a safe environment for sperm to travel through. This type of lubricant is free from harmful chemicals and additives that can harm sperm and reduce fertility. How Does Pre-Seed Lubricant Work? Women who are using a vaginal applicator to apply the lubricant have discovered it is best to insert it around 15 minutes before intercourse.

Preservatives, such as Methylparaben and Propylparaben (in Pre-Seed™ Fertility-Friendly Lubricant), keep products from growing bacteria. Other preservatives (Vitamin C, EDTA, etc.) can cause sperm damage. We chose to use Methylparaben and Propylparaben, because they have very long histories of use and safety data, and are fertility-friendly. Compared with the other lubricants we’ve just seen, coconut oil is a natural product. This means, at least, that what you’re inserting into your body is 100% natural. Pre-Seed provides moisture without harming sperm. For use even while trying to conceive – a time of increased vaginal dryness when other products should be avoided due to their damaging effects on sperm.

In this Australian study, 9 lubricants were tested and among them, PreSeed was found to have the least negative effect on how well the male reproductive cells functioned. Overall, we consider Pre-Seed Lube to be potentially effective for improving fertility, but we don't believe it's definitively proven yet, because test tube studies don't always translate to real-world outcomes.
