Doctor’s appointments, hospital visits, constant anxiety; both of us felt completely hopeless, and my condition only worsened. Between nods to local details - Harper’s Ferry, The Yellow Wallpaper, the Monopoly board collecting dust in his back seat - he leaves room for the fragile stuff of your own life, your own loves. A chorus from one song might show up as the bridge in another; a lyric might connect to an observation made earlier in the record, or even the record before. Such an amazing album from the mind of a fking 17 year old with the instrumentals of now a smarter will.Today though I want to talk about my experience with this album and what it means to me like so many others have; it almost feels like a right of passage.

From the very beginning, alone in his bedroom, in his last weeks of high school, he knew he was writing anthems.I'm not a native English speaker (as you may probably tell HAHAHA), so I've always had trouble with wrapping my head around many songs and their lyrical content, if it's not flat-out explained to me. Over the last few months he has disarmed packed rooms of rowdy concert goers, leaving them silent as they hold fast to every syllable sung. From top to bottom Twin Fantasy doesnt waste no time with its banging instrumentals, that will keep you wanting to listen not matter how long the song is.

Every morning was the same for the two of us and it felt like a cycle that would never end, but it only got worse. The production values are somewhere on the lower end of inexpensive mid-tier indie rock, but the meat-and-potatoes sonics ultimately serve to make the record sound timeless.
