A girl and her cat find a portal to an alternate dimension, where kids and their doubles encounter each other. And with the days getting shorter and the evenings getting darker, it’s the perfect book to hunker down with and try to figure out who you can trust.And as the novel goes on it just gets worse, until you reach a point were you think everything is just going down, lost. The various movements and reflections and adventures require readers to twist and turn the physical book, making the original or "assumed" perspective take on new aspects. And if my children ever happen to disappear into a mysterious hole in the wall, I sure hope they take a beloved pet along to guide them on their (safe! They don't give you enough information as they should in a detective novel so that you may solve the mystery as well.

It's also worth noting that there are differences between the novel and anime, so don't pass this up just because you've seen the anime. This longing has taken its toll on Angie and as a result Angie’s marriage eventually shatters under the pressure of trying for a child. A story like this is so hard to review, as it would be a crime to tell you any details about the book before you read it. A little girl wakes up to see her cat going through a portal which opened up in her room late at night.

Literally nothing, the main character is in a new school with kids that act weird and that's it until page 151. This makes sense because most of the characters, even main ones, tend to die off fairly quickly, and with such a large cast to murder, you kind of expect it. He is unable to start his third year at his new school due to a genetic lung illness that forces him to miss the first few weeks.

That message is muted almost to the point of nonexistence in this book, which is why I hesitate to rate it even one and a half stars, but I enjoy Christian Robinson's illustrations. He soon discovers that there's a curse surrounding his class, the third year, where an "extra" student appears in the class, and soon death follows. Apparently, these reviewers actually read the book it was made to be read: slowly, deliberately, and with an open mind willing to wonder. Ooh, I like how the cover (book jacket) is so white, but you see the polka dots underneath, just like the “O” in Another. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.Fear of breaking tradition rules this class of teens and there are severe consequences that can affect generations.

As Angie settles back into life in her hometown and repairs her broken heart, two people will enter her life, changing it for the better. However, Robinson adds a couple of interesting things: first, a broad cross-section of children from different backgrounds and second, looking at things from different perspectives (in almost an Escher-like way. The youngest viewers may enjoy decoding the girl’s journey with some adult assistance, while more book-savvy kids will get a kick out of 'reading' the story all on their own. Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. Anyway, this is a horror mystery that is ingenious in the fact that you can't actually solve the mystery once you actually know what the mystery is.
