As this perfume was meant for my husband, we tried on his skin as well. I think it's not a man's scent. I have been avoiding Arabian Oud scents, since I am from the middle east and it smells like every mosque ever. But one day, I wanted to get something that had Oud in it and thought Lattafa will be a good way to start since they’re affordable, right? I got this a week ago, and let me tell you I can’t stop wearing it ever since! I don’t if it’s bec it’s winter, or am I really starting to like middle eastern scents and it’s my new thing maybe, but this is really amazing and worth the try! The spray that I do on my wrists before work really lasts me the entire shift and I can’t keep sniffing my wrist it really smells nice and that’s coming from someone who never thought would be wearing Oud. These are different but this is the most similar to Opulent Oud. OR is more complex and has more of a refined feel to it. Both have well above average performance. This is a beautiful leather scent with a tinge of oud that is not too intense. It’s smokey, woody and musky, with gloomy tones of leather coming through. The leather is the crucial actor, and I would describe this as a subtle oud. It is not original or unique, as it smells like many other leather things I have, but I love it.

What I can smell is mainly the cedar, oud, and cinnamon bark. It’s a pretty spicy and oudy dry down for me. I think it leans masculine on me also, I don’t smell the rose in here at all which I’m very sad about because I adore rose in perfumes!The reason I'm giving it a love is that although it's not groundbreaking, it has an extremely attractive price point for a larger audience - especially those that don't like more traditional our fragrances. Extreme versatility with a brilliant sillage. Sweet OUD & (SANDAL)WOOD-PATCHOULI with amazing drydown. Opens with a floral-citrus burst with patchouli, saffron & oud touches, that deepens into a caramel & amber-oud heart, all resting on a musky amber-wood base with vanilla & patchouli touches. Overall, I get a sweet oud with faint patchouli touches in the opening with a creamy sweet oud heart on a spicy-sweet & creamy (sandal)wood-patchouli base that's to die for. The drydown reminds me of other sandalwood-patchouli drydowns, although sandalwood isn't specifically listed in the notes. Fantastic performance, that might be difficult to wear in the summer heat. Longevity: On skin 10 (16+ hours), 9 (12-16 hours), 8 (10-12 hours), 7 (8-10 hours), 6 (6-8 hours), 5 (3-6 hours)

I get completely different notes than what's listed albeit similar to some folks further down below. Opens up with this gorgeous dark juicy wine-like scent that settles into an ensemble of oud (that's not overly rubbery or skanky), sweet juicy resins and ambers, with a bit of a sugary feel. It's very wearable and very unisex, but I (32M) wear it a lot, and even got my similar aged male friends onto bottles of their own as they also agreed how lovely it is. Also as it's so beautifully cheap I often just wear it in the evenings at home and to bed as it's so lovely. This to me is a patchouli, saffron, rose, oud and SANDALwood fragrance. I'm thinking the intersection of this supposed saffron-patchouli-sandalwood is giving the illusion of some cinnamon as well. I would say if you like spicy, woody scents then give this a shot, for the price of this you really can’t go wrong, I can see why so many people enjoy it. It’s well blended, smells expensive and definitely gives off a sexual aura but it’s not the sexy perfume for me. Again, I want to smell that rose!😩 Then you spray it on. This was my first middle-eastern fragrance, and my first smell of anything with the word "oud" in its name.This is just a little bit too heavy and masculine for me. Although the longevity is great, this also doesn’t smell cheap at all. Then you're on a long drydown journey of about 14h, longer on clothes where it continues to move around and remain interesting.

The scent smells rich, and I could imagine it costing 10 times as much in a different bottle. The oud accord (at this price, natural oud oil is impossible) is absolutely excellent and leaves Ombre Nomade and Halfeti in the dust. There is a prominent smokey rose, jammy dried fruits and smokey woods in the base. I don't smell large doses of synthwoods that are obvious in its competitors, and I appreciate this delicate touch. However I find that Oud Royal could use a touch more sweetness, which I find in Lattafa Opulent Oud.

It is certainly very rich, dense and fashioned in the Arabian style and not for the faint of heart. But to be frankly honest I only apply 2 spritz max, I was trying to build my tolerance to Oud only bec it’s very basic where i live and maybe building my way up? Anyway, I have many bottles of SAS , but had I realised they changed the perfume, I would prefer this one. After like 3 hours it's more quite/calm, not so heavy, oudy with less smoke on a vanilla base with musky hints. Due to the high strength of these fragrances, a little goes a long way! The recommended dosage is 5-10% - we advise testing at 5% & adjusting for personal taste. Therefore, for 1kg of candle wax we would recommend using ~50-100ml of fragrance for brilliant scent throw. Please note: scents are all naturally slightly different strengths, so usage will vary from one fragrance to another and from one wax type to another. We highly recommend testing each oil thoroughly before batch production as results may vary based on individual recipes.

To be honest, I feel Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition , has changed over the years. I’ve noticed it’s become more cloying vanilla. Anyway, upon opening, you are bombarded with the cinnamon bark and saffron. I hated it for the first 10 seconds, it was leaning medicinal on me. The opening is very sharp and off putting. But… give it a chance to calm down and that medicinal smell will fade.
