This is not a story that I would recommend to anyone venturing into BL or the “omegaverse” for the first time. one of the main characters thought he was an alpha most of his life, but he finds out he is a recessive omega. Kyungsoo is probably the nicest person in this manhwa, if a bit thickheaded and likens Alpha and Omega like animals, and Chowon by circumstance keeps coming back into his life so he tries, and falls in love. With that not subsiding, Dojin takes Hye-sung back to his where the latter remains adamant that he is an Alpha. The most intriguing thing about romantic love is that no matter how you started,—that is, whether you both agreed to just have a fling, or you are just in a Friends-with-Benefits kind of relationship, or a serious relationship or even a long distance relationship— you always end up having to deal with some form of battle.

Maybe they eventually turn into that, I don't know, but their relationship in this first volume is nothing but rape and resentment. Journal, meditate or talk with friends as you delve deeper into deciding for yourself whether love is illusory or real. And here we meet our third couple, with Hye-sung's Friend Kyungsoo rounding out the main cast, and it's set up in a way to the first couple, only with Chowon, an Omega with prejudice against Betas, picking up a Beta instead of an Alpha, who dislikes Omegas, picking up an Omega.However, this is definitely a taboo subject and many people, women especially, enjoy reading this content in fiction and may even have fantasies about this that are satisfied solely through this type fiction. DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DO NOT LIKE DUBCON/NONCON IT IS DEFINITELY NOT ONE OF THOSE SERIES THAT IS UNPROBLEMATIC.

If this is not the type of omegaverse and BL mature content you like to read, then by all means say it's not for you, blacklist it, and move on. It's impossible to find out what got Park Dojin loving Kim Hye-sung, and even he himself says that he doesn't know why he loves him (lmao). They don't communicate like the other pairings do, if any at all, they seem to simply talk around each other and never solve that issue until a whole 74 chapters into the comic.If it was just in the beginning I could let it go, and probably give a way better rating for this series, but because in THE LATE STAGES, like, somewhere around like 50 chapters in, it happens again, and the main alpha makes the same mistake AGAIN, I'm pissed off about it. Let's preface this with none of the main characters are good people right out of the gate, as much as the author wants to reduce the drama of what Dojin has done with hit-or-miss comedy and framing of the narrative. Kyungsoo is so different to the life Chowon has lead before it, and Chowon mostly comes off as ambivalent because this is a Beta, while Kyungsoo still tries and tries.

The very last sex scene is particularly horrible, with Dojin doing the Alpha equivalent of giving him a date rape drug (purposely releasing his pheromones around Hye-sung). I read the full Korean version of this and, oh boy, it’s been a long time since I have read a series so bad.The solution for him is an Alpha-pheromone infused perfume, and Dojin comes across Hye-sung spraying himself with it in the restroom. It's really not fun when his only conflict is "How Do I Get MC From Running Away From Me" like just give the man some real fucking problems to deal with, it's really not that hard.

There were some potential bits like Hyesung actually being really good at math to the point of being a prodigy, but it doesn't amount to anything interesting. His life as an alpha has been turned completely on its head thanks to meeting Dojin, except unfortunately for him, his life is about to get even more uncertain… When Hye-sung gets sick, a quick trip to the doctor results in a life-changing surprise for them both. The study showed that elevating this type of positive illusion resulted in higher relationship satisfaction, fewer doubts and less conflict within the relationship.
