Mr. Benjamin "Benny" Krupp – The cruel and mean-spirited principal of Jerome Horwitz Elementary School and the antihero of the series (usually when no real dangers are happening). He is usually depicted as an overweight man. Mr. Krupp has a deep hatred of children and also tries to protect the students at Jerome Horwitz Elementary from George and Harold's pranks. Why he is so mean to children, in general, is unknown, but it is hinted that it is because of his own troubled and dysfunctional past. Mr. Krupp's birthday is on April 1, 1951; he has a younger brother named Jasper (Kipper's father), and his parents are named John and Bernice. When Mr. Krupp was little, he performed an awful hip-hop dance at a talent show, his mother passed out fruits and vegetables to the audience so they could throw them at him because he did not watch the cows from his family farm. This leads him to become mean, cold-hearted and vow to make all kids feel just as bad as he did. His last name is a pun of the word "corrupt". When he goes by his full name, it is a pun on "bankrupt" [ citation needed]. Mr. Krupp was based on Mr. Crutch, and was supposed to be named Mr. Crutch. He was named after Mr. Crutch from Shrimps for a Day. In the film, it is revealed that he read George and Harold's comics when he confiscated them and felt they were a little funny, which explains how he knows what Captain Underpants acts like when he is hypnotized. I am, after all, an adult. An old person. I read this book for this year's banned/challenged books week. This particular book in the series features something so awful and horrendous that most kids can't handle it. I'm talking about someone who is *whispers* g-a-y. OMG!!!! No!!!

Adult George and Harold rush to Mr. Krupp's house needing help, snapping their fingers. However, Mr. Krupp wasn't coming to his trance into becoming Captain Underpants due to his face being wet from scrubbing off the permanent marker off of his face as the increasingly desperate adults kept snapped their fingers several times. Mr. Krupp wanted them to go away because of them freaking him out, and saying they were acting like kids. Sir Stinks-A-Lot overheard what Mr. Krupp said and grabbed the two adults, beating them using his mecha-suit. Mr. Krupp demanded him not to kill them cause he didn't want any blood on his lawn. Adult George and Harold were able to notice that Mr. Krupp's Face was dried up and they saw their opportunity, snapping their fingers at Mr. Krupp and he finally came into his trance becoming the amazing Captain Underpants to save his friends. Captain Underpants charged and battled Sir Stinks-A-Lot in his ape suit and Sir Stinks-A-Lot was defeated with the mecha-suit destroyed and taken to jail. The following morning at school, Mr. Meaner also has robot arms and hands, having built a giant mechanical ape suit named 'The Stinky-Kong 2000'. He sprays all of the children in his classes with Rid-O-Kid 2000™, giving them all 'Attention Superfluous Lethargy Syndrome (ASLS). Mr. Krupp is delighted that Mr. Meaner has transformed all the children. Ms. Ribble asks if Rid-O-Kid 2000™ is dangerous and Mr. Meaner explains to her that it only affects children and that adults are immune to it. Old George Beard and Old Harold Hutchins rush to Mr. Krupp's house needing help. While they snap their fingers several times, Mr. Krupp doesn't become Captain Underpants due to his face and head being wet at the time. Mr. Krupp wants them to go away because to him, they are acting like kids. As this is happening, Kenny B. Meaner overhears what Mr. Krupp said, and he grabs the two adults and beats them using his ape suit. Captain Underpants is portrayed much the same way as his book self, though he is less intelligent than his book counterpart as he believes that a mime is trapped in a box and he places an old lady in a tree along with her cat instead of helping the cat out of the tree as she wanted. Unlike the books, Captain Underpants acquires his powers after getting bathed in the Nuclear Toilet Water from Professor Poopypants' Great Mech Suit instead of drinking Extra Strength Super Power Juice. Dog Man is a comedic graphic novel series created by Dav Pilkey as a full spin-off book series to the Captain Underpants series. The series is about a dog-headed cop protecting the city he resides in with his friends. The series includes eleven books, the first released in 2016 and the latest in 2023. When the Wedgie Woman is defeated, George and Harold tell Captain Underpants to go to the school, get dressed, and wash his face. He does that and turns into Mr. Krupp again. In 2020, ten Dog Man books (including one Cat Kid Comic Club, a spin-off) sold a total of over 3.8 million copies, 13% of the total comic book sales, as charted by BookScan. This does not include digital copies or any copy sold by Scholastic through school book fairs. [8] Captain Underpants' most notable personality trait is his jolliness. He is kind, caring, and brave. He loves and cares about children, especially George and Harold. Miss Singerbrains – Miss Singerbrains is the librarian at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School who banned all but one of the books in the library and eventually closed down the library. Her name is a pun on saying she is "missing her brains." I recommend this book and the rest of the series before it, to anyone who isn't an old-fashioned fuddy duddy or a 'Mr Krupp'.
