There are about 9 chapters dedicated to specific themes highlighting dancer’s emotions or thoughts such as love, dreams, growing up etc. I loved reading Jean Ure when I was in my teens and need something easy to read as it is that crazy time of term with exams and concerts. First and foremost, I have to highlight the theme of the book, centering around "a celebration of what it means to be young and full of possibility and to live life joyfully.Children and young people can do much that older people cannot and some of these "dance/acrobat" positions are hard to believe.

Maddy is a warm, thoroughly engaging central character, with just a touch of the Emma Woodhouse about her, and the ballet scenes will leave readers itching to stand at the barre. The first in a brand-new series about dancing, friendship and following your dreams from best-loved author Jean Ure, whose books are described by Jacqueline Wilson as ? The book is divided into eight sections that are all related to an aspect of childhood, such as “play with me” and “oops. The brash, loud, spontaneous protagonist may not be the most subtle when going after things she wants, but her heart is always in the right place.
