Based on the value of this set having 2 sprues. In Kill Team Nachmund we get 2 of the same sprue instead of 2 different ones If it sounds like the Chaos team is more fleshed-out and interesting than the Corsairs team well, it is. They have more going on from a customization standpoint and more going on as a result end up having more going on in their Spec Ops rules, because some of their options interact in more interesting ways with the rules your team can have. Its’ great stuff, and makes me excited to build a Legionary Team in a Spec Ops campaign. The war in Chalnath isn’t over (probably, anyway – that’s how things tend to go in the 41st millennium) but Kill Team is moving on to the Nachmund sector, leaving behind the T’au Empire and the Adepta Sororitas in favour of two new teams – the Chaos Space Marine Legionaries and the Aeldari Voidscarred Corsairs. As with the Sisters Novitiate before them , the Voidscarred will have full rules for the tabletop, able to be deployed alongside Aeldari and Drukhari armies. The new edition of Kill Team is a bit complicated given that there are all sorts of different things available to aid your gaming, and might seem quite daunting to the uninitiated.

Slaanesh will be the fastest of the choices, and they will also be able to deal some more damage in combat, which you can get into faster than ever! Not every industrial cloud is a choking hazard – Exhaust Vents pump out harmless fumes. Not only is charging through a plume of smoke extremely cool and dramatic, but it’s also an easy way to grant Cover to vulnerable operatives. Standing right in the cloud offers protection without compromising mobility, letting canny commanders use Exhaust Vents to sneak their close combat troops up close in (relative) safety. Exhaust Vent

This is a singularly frustrating speed-bump in what is otherwise a fairly easy and straight-forward building process. Being able to ignore his injuries means that your Heavy Gunner can employ his full Ballistic Skill even after bearing the brunt of enemy fire – time to rev up that reaper chaincannon and gun down the opposition. There are nine missions here spread across three tables (it’s just a D33 roll, really). And there are some cool missions here. Note that these are heavily designed around having the Nachmund box terrain, so you’ll want to make sure you have the terrain – or a reasonable facsimile of it – when you play them. The Power Relay Substation gives players the option of performing the Salvage Power Core action, which can net you an extra CP on a 3+. There is also some intrinsic value as this is the only way to get the new Chaos upgrade sprue and the Eldar Voidscarred Corsairs early. As it has taken months traditionally for the teams to come out on their own.

The finished results are great – but they aren’t, perhaps, as unique as one may hope, especially compared to the Corsairs, or any of the other Kill Team squads that have previously been released. The Legionary Operatives have all the grim Chaos energy that you’d want them to have, but there isn’t a huge difference between the Legionary Operatives, and, for example, the Chosen from Eldritch Omens or even just a standard squad of Chaos Space Marines. Sure, there’s more options for how they can be built, but were you to put these on a shelf alongside a few other Chaos units, you might struggle to tell them apart. Want to add some speed to your operatives? Slaanesh is waiting to embrace you with open arms – and tentacles, and crab claws, and other appendages. Give your soul to the Dark Prince for extra swiftness, and allow your operatives to bound across the warzone with sinuous grace. While you won’t be able to perform most actions, unleashing the daemon will turn this operative into a combat monster. Especially considering you get to fight twice! Corsairs Rules As I said above we do not have a direct comparison for this set. But in the time since I started writing this and now, GW has released the Aeldari Guardians. Which is 10 models with a Hovering heavy Weapons Platform. We’re basing this off the Octarius Prices rather than the Chalnath becasue, along with the 20(ish) miniatures in all the sets, there is also a ton of chunky scenery parts in this box. So we expect Octarius to be the base price.Nachmund carries on the pedigree established by the previous new edition Kill Team releases: good miniatures, good scenery, and a good book. There’s a lot in here for people to enjoy. If you want to see what it’s like to fight as a member of the Adepta Sororitas, add the VR game Battle Sister to your wishlist on Steam. There’s a good spread of stuff in here: large pieces, smaller bits, and my personal favourite, the crane. The Sector Mechanicus kit is also quite multi-levelled, which will help bring a sense of proper verticality to your games of Kill Team, instead of limiting your battlefield to whatever table surface you’d usually play on.
