Alas, it looks like they couldn’t get the ‘Roll up your sleeves’ song from ‘I Can Cook’ (which would have been the best thing ever) but a big huge hurrah, as this new compilation – released today – has the Cbeebies presenters songs included for the first time – something these compilations have been missing for a while. We've a couple of long car journeys coming up this weekend and LMC can get a bit impatient to reach Granny's house on these trips, so I'm hoping that having familiar music like this will help to distract her for a while longer as we head up the motorway. We do a lot of long journeys in the car and this is great entertainment for both children and stops them bickering for a while! The only downside I can think of is that the game's theme is really secondary to the gameplay/mechanisms.

I am impressed with the huge number of songs included on this album and I like the fact that because there is an impressive 50 songs there is plenty of variety of songs, themes and musical styles. Other than that it's new shows, different songs from within the shows, and happily some of the other CBeebies songs - including our favourites, The Winter Song, and Goodbye Sun, Hello Moon.Please presume that any reference to a digital copy/UV copy will not be applicable, as these are used items. I am very fond of CBeebies so I was mostly happy with this product, only some of the song selections let it down.

I went away for a few days recently, being a normal person (OK, one with a bit of a nail polish habit), rather than a mummy. After a few more plays of the CD she was able to understand the difference between the music on CD and the television.

I think in time as little man enjoys this album more and more the will enjoy listening, singing and dancing to most of the songs even ones that he is not currently familiar with. I have never realised just how many CBeebies songs and tunes I know until we listened to a newly released CD " CBeebies The Album" (and if you are a fan of CBeebies, today, 5th of November 2012, is the day when you can get your own album). We have listened to in the car a few times now and because it is music that little man is familiar with it has been a great distraction and kept him entertained as he sings, jigs, bops, claps his hands and swings his arms to the songs from the comfort of his car seat in the back. CD1 is mostly theme songs, whilst CD2 contains other tracks from the shows, as well as a few more theme songs.

They chose brand new songs from Mr Tumble's latest series and Nina and the Neurons - however it has the old lunch time song which hasn't been on TV in over a year. Children love CBeebies and also love all the songs that are either part of their favourite programmes, or are part of the CBeebies continuity bits between programmes. I have noticed that he seems to be aware of the different styles of music as he dances differently to the songs and he repeats the same style of dancing for particular songs; for example for The Yacki Song he dances like Baby Jake does on the show whilst when listening to songs from Rastamouse he always bops along to the music and does a laid back dance rather than a mad, wild dance. As well as being great for little man to dance to I think the fact that the album is a compilation of different styles of music it introduces him to different music. There are a couple of theme tunes of shows that are no longer on Cbeebies, but the majority you will know if you are exposed to this wonderful tv channel for kids.

The schedules are so different to when the last CD was released, if you have a current CBeebies addict, it's well worth the cash to keep them entertained. CBeebies: The Album includes theme tunes and songs from some new favourites like Rastamouse, Baby Jake and Justin’s House, old classics like Postman Pat and Charlie and Lola as well as theCBeebiespresenter songs for the very first time on CD! Having not listened to the album before we then proceeded to make a game of guess the next song, which was actually more difficult than it sounds, but perfect entertainment for a long drive. There is a mixture of theme tunes and songs from many of the Cbeebies shows over the last couple of years.
