When you remove your old brake pipes have a look at the flare on the end of them (it'll almost certainly be DIN) and only use that type of flare. SAE flares tend to only be used on American cars, but slowly even these are being standardised on the improved DIN fitment. I don’t know of any manufacturers that use compression fittings on brake lines, another vote against for me.
