Considering every new army so far has received a new Combat Patrol, this rumor is definitely possible. Far more palatable to play against than the current incarnation and much better for a core force IMO. The old box really isn’t very exciting, but we’re not sure how much better the new one will be in terms of savings. On the plus side the Dark Angels look great, rocking dark green armour and cream robes create a distinct look for the chapter.

For flavor, we might sprinkle in a unit of Deathwing and Ravenwing each — but we’re not going to go hard in either direction. Three Inceptors can take to the sky against aerial threats or to jump in and out of battle for some hit and fade tactics. The main attraction of 40k is the miniatures, but there are also many video games, board games, books, ect.Finally, I want to add something that’s going to give us better chance at cracking open armor at range. It makes perfect sense from a GW point of view - keep the HQ out of the unit in combat patrol so you don't have a mini deathstar and have an extra independent piece and then also pushes the person moving on from combat patrol to get a gravis unit to escort the captain and leaves them open to any of the HQs to join the other squads.

This box is off to a strong start with a Primaris Chaplain to lead the patrol, he looks badass, there’s no other way to put it, it’s a fantastic model.
