If you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this product Buttercup original cough syrup contains two active ingredients, squill liquid extract and capsicum tincture.Anyone with a known allergy or intolerance to any of the ingredients of the medicine. There are currently no other medicines available in the UK that contain squill liquid extract and capsicum tincture as the active ingredients. This product contains alcohol so may impair ability to drive or operate machinery - do NOT drive or use machinery if affected by this medicine.

A cold can start spreading from before the infected person starts to experience symptoms and the person remains infectious until the symptoms have finished.
