If you are looking for the font used for the title of the first book, you can check out Victor by fumare or Gustav Black by Michael Schinköthe. The artist Claudia Aguirre lends her beautiful talents to this book and the art seems less rushed overall, though is still a bit iffy in some places. All the while, she is stalked by twisted and creepy versions of the beloved animatronics from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, BUT are they real or just a series of illusions she is having? A year after the events of The Silver Eyes, Charlie tries to regain some sense of normality as a college student. With the help of neighbor Foxy, a brassy, 60-something ex-hippie who lives across the road, Mouse re-enters the realm of the "twisted ones" to try to rescue whoever is trapped there.

I didn’t read the entirety of the novel, but the parts I did were well translated into the graphic novel version.A paperback edition was also released in the United States alongside the hardback edition; Titan Books released a paperback edition in the United Kingdom in March 2020. I did not believe it fair to give two stars just because it was not my kind of paranormal story, and the artwork was good. The art’s definitely better for the human characters, however all the animatronic characters besides Springtrap maybe all look just a tad bit off to me. Charlie, now in college, is investigating a string of odd murders that she believes are related to the animatronics of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

Had the pacing not ramped up in the latter quarter of the book, this would have been a 1-star review.When her dog, Bongo, leads her into the realm of the "twisted ones", Mouse barely escapes with her sanity intact. The book ends on a cliffhanger for the final book in the trilogy, ‘The Fourth Closet’, which I am still interested in reading out of curiosity. All in all, I don't find myself recommending this book to anyone above the age of 12, it was not that good and didn't leave me with a good impression it is more for younger kids. The book both gives possible future views to the franchise as well as possible explanations to things already present or just recently appearing in the games.

The colors still need some work though because darker scenes look like a joke when you use those dynamic background colors.Note: yes they are more directly correlated with the Sister Location animatronics from a robotic and mechanic stand-point I am just talking about their nightmarish appearance when the sound illusion discs are in use. Charlie thinks her ordeal is over, but when a series of bodies are discovered near her school bearing wounds that are disturbingly familiar she finds herself drawn back into the world of her father's frightening creations. The twisted animatronics have such a monstrous feel to them, with boil like growths, mould and so many teeth they have the same features as the Fnaf four animatronics- which honestly are probably some of my favourite designs of the franchise.

The British Fantasy Society's Sarah Deeming commented that "knowing that Mouse would be OK lost a bit of the tension", as this was detailed in the beginning of the book, but that "As an atmospheric, creepy read, The Twisted Ones has some great moments.Now I recommend you read the first book before you read this one as the story won't make as much sense.
