ps - yes that pap/vaginal exam scene i know i haven't forgotten about it, it's the funniest thing ever i could not tell you how long i spent clutching my stomach from pain/embarrassment/laughter.Early on, in the book, we start to get more of who Tate actually is and he’s such a complex character, just like Charlie. firstly he's a mechanic so i can just imagine his sexy greased-up face, and those hands that i KNOW are godly, secondly, he's a single dad.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that Kellan was the one who wrote The Imperfections and not his poor-life of a father, Terry, who plagiarized it and stole all the credit.Besides feeling zero sympathy and chemistry for Kellan and Charlie, Tate and Charlie had nothing to share besides shared grief and guilt about Kellan. Everything about the act and the havoc it wreaked on people around him screamed unnecessary cruelty to me. It helped that Tate ended up sporting an erection as she told him that it only added to the low humor this book was already lacking.
