May 19th 1972 Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, TN (w/ Blue Oyster Cult, Chambers Brothers) (Rolling Stone Show Itinery) They may argue that the damage was done by outsiders not PSUC students, yet the vast majority of people Nov 23rd 1971 Reports suggest that after travelling on the same plane as the John Mayall band, the guys attended a Mayall show at the Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, MI.You know, actually a couple of years ago, Alice did a tour, The 'Eyes Of Alice Cooper' Tour, and the guy who designed the set had the A-L-I-C-E gigantic and hanging down on stage in fluorescent colors. When I went to see Alice, he took me out to make sure I recognized that he took those letters directly off what I had written on that album cover. And he asked me if that story I just told you was true and I told him it was. He said, "Well, I hear so many stories that I’m not sure if I should believe any or not." As with 'Love It To Death' the exact release date is a little fuzzy. The generally accepted date is November 27th, however that can't be correct. For a start November 27th 1971 was a Saturday, and albums in the US were released on Tuesdays. Secondly the issue of Billboard dated November 27th already shows it "bubbling under" the top 200 at #203 (it entered the main charts the following week at #83) so it must have been on sale earlier. The Billboard chart shows sales data collected 11 days before the cover date and covers the week before. That puts 'Killer' as being released on Tuesday November 9th 1971 at the latest. April 1972 Most of School's Out recorded. Billboard also reports the band are being sued by Herb Cohen and Straight records. Bruce:I remember at one of the shows, Glen pulled the trap doors on the gallows and Alice didn't fall. Alice Cooper’s concert in Miami on May 27, 1972, adds even more unreleased music to the collection. The show was recorded a few weeks before the band entered the studio to record School’s Out. The live performance features standout versions of “Halo Of Flies,” “School’s Out,” and “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,” a song that gives Cooper a chance to show off his impressive harmonica skills.

Mar 13th 1972 Ungano's Ritz Theater, Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY - Eye witness who booked the show says this was just after the release of Killer, and after Alice's Appendix operation (the scar you can see on the Killer calendar). "Johnny Podell gave us this gig as a thanks for the bookings in the past..... Alice was getting quite big here at this point and was selling out much bigger venues than ours." A great night!"The band returned for an encore of 'Long Way To Go' which during the tour started to move into a jam based around Glen's 'School's Out' riff, which allowed Alice to play with the front rows, throwing out posters and watching the chaos that ensued as the crowd fought to get their hands on one. 'Under My Wheels' then closed the show with Alice finally talking to the audience, waving a sword with dollar bills on it over a year before 'Billion Dollar Babies'. Smith: It was a challenge for us to try to have an album that was better than "Love it to Death." But we didn't really think about that. We just wanted the musicianship to be fantastic and do something a little bit different. Jan 28th 1972 A Gymnasium likely Roanoke Civic Center, Roanoke (or Salem), VA (Staying at the Roanoke Holiday Inn - Rolling Stone article mentions they are there the day before new Jersey "Roanoke was not like the deadly follies they'd see in New Jersey the next night." and later "this theater being the Passaic Capitol Theater in New Jersey" so the date is right. It also mentions that Baltimore is the night after Passaic so it all fits. Also a couple of eye-witnesses on the net who suggest Roanoke Civic Center but maybe Salem Civic Center which is close by. Dec 8th 1971 Columbus, OH, Ohio Theater (or Akron?) - Columbus confirmed in Ann Arbor Sun (Nov 26th-Dec 9th 1971 issue) listings.

Ezrin:There wasn't a whole hell of a lot of time to have a special game plan or to have thought about the implications of "Love it to Death." In fact, "Love it to Death" was really just taking off around the time when we had to start writing. The vinyl versions for both Deluxe Edition recreate the original album sleeves down to the smallest detail. For Killer , that means a gatefold sleeve that opens to reveal a detachable 1972 calendar with a photo of Cooper in the gallows. The cover of School’s Out looks like a wooden school desk and opens to reveal the LP wrapped in a pair of panties. The band stopped including the underwear following a controversy as to whether or not they were flammable. Thankfully, the lacy unmentionables in the new Deluxe Edition are not a fire hazard.
