In a new build, it will be necessary to insulate a loft hatch to comply with Building Regulations and, to be honest, it would be difficult to find a new loft hatch that is not insulated and airtight (to a degree, at least). As for internal doors, or external doors with less footfall, and easily movable draught excluder, for example our range of animal draught excluders, are perfect. If the gaps are large you should use an expanding foam filler as this will have excellent insulating properties, it will quickly fill the gap and will get right into the nooks and crannies.
