The Oral – B vitality does not pulsate as it only cleans with 2D action and the Oral-B Pro 600 range has a slower pulsations. All three of the electric toothbrushes are mid range electric toothbrushes built by Oral-B. They all provide different advantages and disadvantages but which one provides you with the best features, best value for money and best portability. I am confident that the Genius X motor is more powerful. I think the Pro 5000 you might have has something in the region of 8,800 oscillations and either 20,000 or 40,000 pulsations.Aside from the colour of the brush the physical size and shape are identical and you would not be able to tell the two apart unless you noticed the additional cleaning mode icon found on the 9000. At the front of the electric toothbrush handle, close to its base there are two icons. One is the battery indicator light and the other is the charging icon. I will discuss this more in detail later. The Smart 5 5000 comes supplied with a more suitable holder too. It sits on a work surface rather than needing to be attached to a wall. It is our opinion is smarter and less unsightly. You just need to pop your phone in it, which takes a couple of seconds compared to the tens of seconds with the genius brush configuration. You phone then sits in portrait or landscape orientation and shows the on-screen timer. The Oral-B Pro 650 comes in at a lower price point and thus sacrifices some of the features of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500. The main one for me is the pressure sensor. Pressing too hard with a toothbrush can lead to gum recession and tooth wear. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 has a pressure sensor that flashes red when you are pressing too hard. This will mean that you will use the brush at just the right pressure. There is no difference in speed/power of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 and Oral-B Pro 650. Is the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 waterproof?

The N at the end stands for Normal as it comes with the “standard” CrossAction Brush head. There is also a W variety which is Whitening and S which is Sensitive. The letter just represents the Brush Head that it comes with, the electric toothbrush handles are exactly the same. Should I go for the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 or Oral-B Pro 650 electric toothbrush? It does too come with a premium travel case, similar to that of the Genius X, which allows the brush to be charged whilst inside. However, like the X, this requires a separate proprietary power adapter. The Oral B Pro 2 2500 N provides floss-like clean teeth and healthy gums. The 3D cleaning action helps remove teeth plaque and to be germ-free. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable. The Pro 2 2500 has a larger rubber grip on the front of the handle that the Pro 3 – 3500 does not have.The power button on the Pro 3 does provide some texture and grip for the finger. And although the 3000 is now all smooth touch plastic, it isn’t as slippy as you might expect. There is a great deal to like about the iO and this is without a doubt a step up for Oral-B. But, the downside is the price. It costs quite a bit more than the Genius X and does not deliver significant benefits that would be justifiable to most for the price. Conclusion You have to stand in front of your smartphone when brushing and can’t really move as the brush movements need to be seen by the camera.

The Pro 3 3000 has a slightly revised design. It looks a little cleaner. Unlike the 2000, it does not have a rubber grip that runs the length of the brush handle. Instead, the only grip on the front is the panel that contains the power button. In the very near future we will have a guide that explains this all in detail. However, here is the short answer for now.The benefit of doing away with the large rubber grip is that the Pro 3 is easier to keep clean. Toothpaste residue doesn’t build up on the handle in quite the same way as the 2500. The grip on the rear of the handle comes in the form of lots of dimples compared to the ridges on the 2500. A new magnetic charger means the brush can be recharged in as little as 3 hours, rather than the more typical 12. The Smart 6 comes with1 x CrossAction, 1 x Pro White/3D White and 1 x Sensitive brush head, but the Genius 9000 comes with one additional brush head, that is the FlossAction head.

A pressure sensor is built into both of these models. However, only the Pro 2 has a visible pressure sensor. You can always switch between the way you want to brush with two modes of daily clean and gum care. Daily clean mode helps in comprehensive everyday cleaning. The gum care mode, on the other hand, helps to gently stimulate gums. These 2 brushes fall at the lower end of the electric toothbrush range from Oral-B, but they offer most of what you need of an electric toothbrush at a good price point.The 3D white head is designed to help polish stains on the exterior of the teeth and make the teeth appear whiter, whilst the Sensi UltraThin is a softer bristled head that pairs well with the Sensitive cleaning mode available on the Pro 2 2000. All system components (e.g., toothbrush handle, charger, power cord, SmartGuide). You do not need to include accessories like the brush heads or refill stand. Both offer the standard daily clean mode and a more gentle sensitive mode. But, the Pro 3 offers a third brushing mode, known as whitening. The Pro 1000 has a dimpled texture that runs the full length of the handle, whereas the 2000 has a series of raised plastic ridges. Those ridges start from just below halfway up on the handle and extend to the top of the handle. The pressure sensor benefits new and even experienced electric toothbrush users, but admittedly new users get the greatest benefit.
