It is perfectly drawn, not too flashy, and the way how each character is drawn to make them look extremely attractive is so appealing to the eyes. If there's one thing Nisekoi does well, it's write endearing filler chapters respecting and at times moving forward established characters, while still being entertaining enough that people won't mind reading it. If this were a live-action series with actual human beings and all of their many physical flaws, these comments wouldn’t exist as Adagaki Aki could look like an actually attractive person with as few flaws as possible. But when you have an anime (or manga) where every character is painstakingly drawn to be beautiful and perfect and eye-catching to the audience, I have no idea how I’m supposed to believe that any single one of them are considered attractive in comparison to the others. I guess if you have a domination fetish, yeah, Aki’s your girl, but if you’re one of… *ahem* THOSE people… then you might prefer Mr. Boipussy~ over there with the weird yellow pluses in his or her eyes. Why is that a thing.

Overall I shrug cliche's and bland stories off. I don't read romcoms for interesting characters or subplots (big plus though), and the girls are cute enough to keep me going. In terms of shenanigans (the second selling point of almost all harem romcoms), this isn't anything new. It's not as over-the-top as Nisekoi but you've seen some of these stories a hundred times except now everyone who's important is rich. Even though it's insignificant detail I love that the two main heroines love precure but hate each other over who's the best precure. Reviewing the first volume, Rebecca Silverman of Anime News Network stated that the combination of revenge comedy and romance was "working thus far". She felt that Aki's servant was the most interesting character, but also enjoyed Masamune, especially how he had to "think about the correct response for each situation he finds himself in". She called Aki "utterly detestable", and noted that it would be difficult for the series to turn around and make her a romantic interest. Season 2 of Masamune-kun’s Revenge adapted volumes 7 to 10 of the original manga series by Hazuki Takeoka. The good news is that 12 volumes of the manga have been published in Japan, meaning that there is source material available for a potential third season. In an alternate world where Adagaki doesn't particularly care why Piggy left him, just that she always liked him, the pure-hearted Adagaki will, as per harem manga character trope rules, devote herself solely to Double-kun and shrug off oft-forgotten childhood memories like all normal people do. Aki's parents fought over her, wanting her for themselves. They did not consider going out as a family. Much to her dismay and due to the result of this, Aki found it much more pleasing being around Masamune. The "King" and "Queen" had often bought her presents, most likely to compete for her affections. I love the characters for what they are. There was an important reveal about one of the characters, and the manga looked like within a few chapters it would reach a very satisfactory ending. And that is where everything went to absolute hell. For absolutely NO reason, new characters and a terrible plot began to be introduced. The only possible reason for this that I can think of is that the author realized he wasn't quite ready to butcher this cash milking machine. After helping accomplish the revenge of Masamune's bullies, she confessed about her parents getting divorced and Masamune comforted her, vowing to always be by her side. The story kept me in suspense as we watched Masamune kun teeter on the edges of getting caught during his revenge and all of the various plot twists that came up. It was actually a pretty enjoyable series to watch!

Fat Double-kun did tell the Yuri Brigade that he doesn't wish to get close to Adagaki at all, but how are we to believe he didn't have an ulterior motive when pure-pure Ojou-sama did? That scene did nothing but show that Double-kun bought the trust of completely-irrelevant-except-for-this-arc Yuri Brigade to be reduced to comical henchmen (kendo girl was cute though 8/10).

I can't help thinking that the authors after decide the main idea of the manga, they only trust in the power of the plot twist until the end. And yeah that wouldn't be a problem itself, but the really issue is in how the authors achieve them. Double-kun is complete filler.
