And mine is definitely a first pressing - I won it on a Radio One phone-in a week or so prior to release. The reason for mentioning this is because U2 have just announced some 30th anniversary editions of the Achtung Baby album and the contrast to the activity ten years ago is stark. Recorded over six months at Hansa Studio in Berlin and Windmill Lane in Dublin, 'Achtung Baby' is U2's seventh studio album.

While I really enjoy this documentary it seems to have a problem decided if it is a film about the history of U2 or a film about the making of Achtung Baby. The cover is poor coloured, but the record's sound is fine, I have re-issue Netherland and no have much different, rich bass, light trebles. That being said, Achtung Baby is an album that really lends itself to remixes but I think Disc 4 is the better of the remix CDs.

Produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, and recorded between Berlin’s Hansa Studios and various locations in Dublin, this Grammy award winning album was released to huge critical acclaim. discs (including ‘From the Sky Down’ documentary’, ‘Zoo TV: Live From Sydney’, videos and bonus material). Produced by long time U2 collaborators, Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno with Steve Lillywhite, 'Achtung Baby' was engineered by Flood and led by The Fly, and also featured four other singles, 'Mysterious Ways', 'One', 'Even Better Than The Real Thing' and 'Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses'. The packaging was very over the top for the U2 set, with magnetic ’tiles’ on the top, hidden drawers, enamel badges, ‘The Fly’ sunglasses, numbered lithograph, copies of the Propaganda magazine and more. So, again, the vinyl warming effect is very helpful in managing the sometimes intentionally gritty textures which make this album a unique listen.

There is no question about the album’s importance at the time and Achtung BABY remains a classic recording for U2. A limited-edition black vinyl release of the Grammy-award winning U2 album Achtung Baby, to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. Kickstarting Side Two with “Until The End Of The World” is like hearing another album beginning (which is how the best Side Two experiences often play out). It’s not really true to say that 22 tracks haven’t been available ‘digitally’ before, since CD is a digital format, but I guess they mean download/streaming.When I’ve listened on the streams and the CD, by the time I get to the second half of the album my ears and mind are a bit digitally exhausted. Finally there is "Everybody Loves A Winner" a slower song with Bono mostly singing in falsetto and some nice Edge background vocals.
