The most commonly used name for a group of owls is a parliament. This name is believed to have originated from C.S. Lewis’ book “The Chronicles of Narnia,” where a group of owls was referred to as a parliament. However, this name has been used for centuries to describe a group of owls. The term gained notoriety and became widely used in mainstream culture as a result of The Chronicles of Narnia’s enormous success.
