Seemingly shot by Farmer on his cell phone while sitting in his car, he talks about working with Flux and the other cast members, Rob Zombie's decision not to use a fake trailer he shot with Camille Keaton and being inspired to make his own witchfinder movie, films that influenced his project and more. And yet, I still opted to sit down and watch the movie, on account of it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, much less heard about. And if that’s what you’re in the mood for, and can get past the rather rough first fifteen minutes, you should find it entertaining.

What the witch doesn’t count on is a local TV talk show hostess named Debbie (Angel Bradford) who just so happens to be an expert on witchcraft and who takes it upon herself to send Carmilla back to the hell from whence she came! There’s also footage of vampire nuns presented as part of Debbie’s show that has the feel of their work as well. Not to mention she is topless for 99% of her screen time and I don’t even think that it is acknowledged by any other character. On tonight’s episode of Debbie Does Demons, Debbie (Angel Nichole Bradford, Wolf Hollow, Backwoods Bubba)tells us the story of Carmilla Karnstein (Jessa Flux, Murdercise, Satan Lives: The Rise of the Illuminati Hotties). If it was a little more exploitative, if the gore was more prominent and shocking, maybe there would be something to recommend this one.Carmilla’s sex and sinister influence soon works its way over Lauren’s gal pals as she does away with them and then brings them back as demons under her control. A small group of friends gets liquored up and summon a witch that they saw on the tv show Debbie Does Demons. Enter 2023’s Debbie Does Demons, a movie with great cover art and an even better title that begins when a young woman named Lauren (Morrigan Thompson )and a group of friends decide to bust out the old Ouija Board for a lark.

The Blu-ray looks and sounds quite good and the interviews give us a bit of background on the movie.Lauren (Morrigan Thompson) manages to escape and she reaches out to Debbie (Angel Nichole Bradford), the host of a nighttime horror show. Shot in his own personal vehicle around Xmas time it has a kind of gritty feel to it, but he has some interesting things to say about his films and the actors and directors he worked with, and about a lost film-within-a-film for Rob Zombie's LORDS OF SALEM, which starred Udo Kier and Clint Howard, but was cut from the final film. Severin Films brings together four more Italian gothic horror films from decades past in the second volume of their Danza Macabre collection. Whether or not you like how it turned out will depend on your tolerance for cheesy send ups of genre clichés and willingness to overlook some obvious gaffes, such as anachronistic inscriptions on the tombstones, obviously blown lines of dialogue and characters who need to have things they already know explained to them. Which means Debbie Does Demons may be whatever footage had been shot for that reworked with Debbie as the witch huntress and filled out with other footage presented as segments of her show.
