We recommend that wood should not be subject to heavy use, and any water or other spills should be wiped off immediately during this time. Danish Wood Oil is a unique blend of natural oils and resins that penetrate and enhance the natural beauty of all wooden surfaces. Our Danish Oil has been formulated to prime, seal and finish any wood surface as well as re-oiling wood for maintenance. This helped when I applied oil in the afternoon, wiped it down, then the cool evening kept it contained until it skinned over.

The natural finish of Danish oil is satin, and buffing it will make it a bit shinier, but it will not become glossy. The foam brush will help absorb the liquid, ensuring you can apply the oil evenly and in generous amounts. I find it easiest to apply this finish by first transferring some into an old yoghurt container to work out of. When restoring old items of wood, it is important that you remove all previous oils, waxes or finishes before applying the Oil. In what is easily my fanciest attempt at woodworking, I'm making a tree/stand for my watches using some red oak stair railing and 1" red oak dowel from HD.
